Got there a little after 8 thinking they closed at 10. I was incorrect. They closed at 9. A good hour of skiing though. Conditions were nice. Lot was fun.

I think it was $499 for the JFBB only passes before they went to the options they have now. I agree with you though. The Mt. Snow and Hunter options wouldn't entice me either for similar reasons... the whole if driving 4 and a half hours, I might as well keep going another hour or so for bigger mts. I can't knock Mt. Snow since I've never been. Not necessarily on my list of places to ski though.

If you want to be in town close to restaurants, shops etc. Stay in Lake Placid. If you'd rather be near the mountain stay in Wilmington. If you're going on the weekend the town gets bombarded with the Can Am Hockey kids on Thursdays apparently. Depending on where you're staying that could mean a lot of noise at your hotel. If you're in town though you could park your car and potentially not move it again until you leave if you don't mind a shuttle to WF.

I believe deliberations are underway. A decision should be announced shortly. Salty patience isn't just the ability to wait. It's how we behave while we're waiting.

I just wanted to let everyone know that, after consulting with friends, family, former high school classmates, book club members, neighbors and random strangers, that I've narrowed my season pass choices for the 19-20 ski season to the following 5 areas... 1) Blue Mt. 2) Blue Mountain the True Mountain 3) Blu 4) Booter Mountain 5) Little Gap ski area I just wanted to keep you all in the loop. I'll have my decision made by Thursday March 21st at approximately 4:49 pm. Thank you.

That sucks. I cant imagine too many Gettysburg area /Maryland locals are going to see the hunter, Crotched, Mt. Snow etc. options as a perk. I wouldn't drive 7 hours or so for Mt. Snow. That's insane. Would be quicker and easier to fly to Denver for SLC.
