PASR Does Jackson: Round 3 (Yet Anothet Thread To Track)
RidgeRacer replied to indiggio's topic in Other Mountains
Awesome pics. I feel like I was on the flight with you. -
Yes sir. Lots of wooooo hooooo's going on that first run. Was expecting soft cord but instead got a few inches untouched in Razors. Just great skiing today. Spent more time on Widowmaker and X-ing than I have in my entire life because a few locals that I know knew that's where the goods were; so I followed. Only bummer was NMDW being closed again. Otherwise a great day!

Great shot -
Funny to see WF and "small" in the same sentence although I get what you're saying. For me I'll take the vert over the width any day. I like having multiple ways to ski 3k feet or more vert easily; unlike a place like Killington or even Gore where doing a true base to summit run is limited to one trail and basically an inconvenience. I also like standing at one base area, having basically 3 peaks to choose from then filtering back to that same area then choosing another part of the mountain from there. Matter of preference I guess.

Damn. Didn't think my lunch would have been so controversial. It was really good and I didn't feel terrible afterward so it was a win. Now that I think about it, I just drove 5 and a half hours straight home and felt great the whole way. I have a feeling that if I got the bacon cheeseburger I would have had to stop somewhere. All the credit in the world to that veggie burger!

Finished up with a summit to base leg burner. Skyward to cloudspin to the bottom for another 3200 vert. A nice gentlemen offered to take my pic from the summit at Skyward. Another great day of skiing at whiteface in the books.

I'm trying to lay off the beef, cheese and crap

A few more great runs since the power snafu. Approach to wilderness, up little WF lift down Essex to the summit for another skyward to cloudspin run. Perhaps the run combo of this trip. Enjoying a veggie burger before heading back out.

4 minutes. Enjoy gentlemen. -
Yeah...had a great morning so far. Just before the outage I did a Hoyts run then a Wilmington to the base for a full 3k vert. Did two runs off face lift before coming in to pee and wait it out. Line forming at the gondi so it shouldn't be long hopefullym
-
Mainly because the chances of skiing Cloudspin, Empire, Lookout Below etc are greater later in the season with accumulated snowfall.
-
Power outage. Only lift running right now is the face lift servicing the lower mountain.
-
I don't know that I'd come here earlier than late Feb / March to be honest.

It's why we're the best ski site on the internet

Went to the summit, skyward to lower cloudspin, complete with chowder and even some titty sparkles. Cloudspin is a fucking gem of a run. Was always closed whenever I've been here.

Hope you guys have a great time. Post pics

Have a great time. Looking forward to the pics -
Thanks. About 5 and a half hours. On the gondi. Were about 100 people in front of me. Car said 0 but feels much warmer. Conditions should be similar to yesterday. In the words of a certain singer. It's a beautiful day.
