  1. No it isn't. I'm not talking about the skiing, just the vistas etc.
  2. The ADK High Peaks (and probably the presidentials - never been) feel a lot different than most of the other mountains in the east. Almost western like.
  3. Doesn't sound like it based on their last communication. Sounds like one giant park for this weekend.
  4. I like to consider the ADKs as their own big beautiful territory.
  5. Looks like Camelback may be the last to close in PA. Per BB... "This is no joke big boulder PARK will be open this weekend! And it is going to be SICK-park CREW is rebuilding everything!! NEW setups, old setups and adding as many rails, boxes and jumps as they can! This is going to be an EPIC closing weekend so don't miss it!" Despite the fact that the above actually has me wanting to take 15 bucks and use it to donate to the snooki for president campaign rather than spend it there this weekend, sucks to hear that they're closing.
  6. I'm 76.563% in right now. I have the little guys b day happening the next day and need to do a ton of stuff for that but should be able pop in for a little in the am. I wanted to make something but may end up bringing something yet to be determined.
  7. Platty is closed unfortunately. Spring skiing is so choice right now. Their missing out. OK one more and I'm out
  8. Pop quiz. Anyone know what area that is out there (looking west off of the deer run trail)? I have no idea. Just curious. Plattekill?
  9. Outside of Cathedral Brook Bell is not much better terrain wise or length wise than Blue. The full 1400 vert is a chore but most runs off of super chief are probably around 1200 or so. The t hawk is maybe 1k. It's wider and the snow is soft and plentiful. And there are also a shit ton of trees. Bumpers this is your place. I couldn't see coming here when PA is open but for post PA, spring skiing this may become a tradition.
  10. All the lifties got jokes today. Has me SMH. shaking my hippie
  11. Whatev Trev. Go stomp stoke in another thread. I'm eating a brownie. Go ahead and tell me why the brownies at Sugarbush are better ;-)
  12. Cathedral Brook is open. Took off the skis and hiked over. Tons of snow in there. The C Brook area is au natural I believe. Some nice trees and pitch. has my legs burning.
  13. Tree's still skiable off of the tomahawk lift. Crunchy but skiable. Really just a perfect spring skiing day. Not many people here but for those that are it's a party. Music and shit. Lots of fun.
  14. Soft cord everywhere. Bumps are softening up. Just skied the mighty Onetora which was lovely (pics below) the tomahawk liftie just told me that they were closing. I was about to go ape shit until he said April fools.. Bastard. Thanks for being a stoke stomper ride.
  15. Arrived not too long ago. The time machine got me here in 2 hours and 45 minutes. 33 degrees and sunny. Snow is fantastic right now.
  16. I'm skiing for sure but it's between that or a day trip to the skills.
  17. Anyone know if "Bear and South" at mountain Creek are any good? That's the only shit open there tomorrow. I have the WNEP ticket so it's free. Not sure if it's worth the drive though.
  18. Actually weekday options kinda suck. All of PA is closed. Greek is actually closed tomorrow (but open today) so the options for tomorrow are mountain Creek with only the terrain Park section open. Not sure if that's worth the 1 1/2 hours, Bellayere or Hunter. I'm off tomorrow so I really want to ski. Leaning towards bell
  19. Debating between Greek Peak and bellayere tomorrow.
  20. Phillycore I hear instructors are in high demand at Blue. You should inquire ;-)
