  1. This morning was really good. Pleasant surprise. Midway was the best its skied all year.
  2. Guns are back on for a much needed refresh.
  3. I'll second this. Doesn't seem like it makes sense if they aren't 100% like local gems around here.
  4. Probably Saturday but definitely at least one of the two days. I wanted to go up this morning with the 8:00 opening but the rain scared me away because I'm soft.
  5. It's a lot but it isn't going to stop anybody here from buying a pass to Blue that already has one. We'll bitch and moan about it and complain here and at the end of the day will still buy one.
  6. I don't think they want to, but again, what do I know...
  7. Nah, I kind of want snow. As much as I enjoy sitting outside right now at work, we have only had a handful of a few winter days. I have a feeling it's going to be a cold and snowy April. But what do I know...
  8. That is pretty awesome. Do you know how long it took him to build?
  9. Well at least your got that taken care of before showing up at the airport and have a story that you won't forget 😂 Have a great trip!
  10. I think it’s only about 700’.
  11. It's been a while since I've taken the skins out for some uphill so I decided to finally do it with the Indy pass for the first time this year. I headed up to Shawnee this morning and pulled into the lot around 9:00. Temp in the lot was 54 degrees. I had shorts on under my snow pants and the vents opened to the climb. All I wore was a long sleeved tech shirt with my jacket in my pack. if it got cold. Booted up, redeemed my ticket, and was on the snow around 9:20. 20:04 seconds later I was at the top. Lots of kiddies and ski patrol out today for national ski patrol day or something like that. One thing I love about Shawnee is that the SP are super friendly and I've always had some of them stop to talk with me as I'm skinning up. Skied down the terrain park and back to the base, then put the skins on for another lap. 19:48 later I was back at the top. Another lovely skin lap. I ended up just skinning two laps and then take some lift runs as well. Quite a lovely morning and I look forward to getting back there again soon. I could care less about 100% terrain open when skinning up and only skiing a few trails. Truly good times. My one complaint is that I forgot to bring some seltzers to drink at the top. Better luck next time. Cheers.
  12. Had a blast. Super warm out even at the start. I skipped on the brewery and went for a run instead. Will post a report later.
  13. Thanks for trying to keep the peace around here. Very admirable.
  14. Oh shit I remember that thing. Thanks rain man 😂
  15. Love this question. Thanks for proposing it. I would enjoy it on the full Lazy Mile as well as down the central gully on Main Street.
  16. Probably making the trek up to Shawnee for some opening uphill laps Friday morning. Leaving around 11:20 to hit Shawnee Craft Brewing when they open at 12:00, and then back to Bethlum area because I have a 2:00 meeting back on campus. If anybody is interested or hitching a ride let me know.
  17. Snow canons and galactic lights are currently on.
  18. Ah I appreciate that! Maybe next time. no worries if you drink it. I completely understand.
  19. Freefall was fantastic this morning. I got separated early and lapped that until I left at 9 to go run. Nice to feel winter for a day.
