Nastar Glenn was at Blue this is his 54th ski season. He was on his new Mantras.

This is bonus skiing...almost nowhere else around is open..beers stayed cold and snow was fast.

They can take some of the snow from lazy, upper Main Street and Burma to use to fill in thin spots on the open terrain throughout the week. Not only will tomorrow be a spicy meatball but it will be crowded.

Just an FYI, Blue is closing at 4pm today. For shits and giggles I checked out Camelbacks FB page and they said with colder forecasted weather they will open soon...what forecast are they looking at?

I’m not skiing today. I don’t like skiing in fog and looks like rain is gonna but right for opening. There should be a rain free window late morning and early PM. I wasnt expecting Burma to open this weekend. As was said, you don’t groom out whales when it’s going to be warm for a prolonged stretch. After the next 24 hours, Blue is going to go from expansion mode to survival mode. We have to hope for a solid 3-4 days of snowmaking before Xmas or we won’t be in the valley until January but on the bright side they are open while most other PA ski areas haven’t opened yet
