Hey All, It’s almost another weekend, is anybody skiing at Blue mountain this weekend? Sunday is for sure for me. I think there’s a chance they don’t even open on Saturday..so Saturday is up in the air. It’s definitely gonna be nice and mild.

I saw your son in the upper lot today

Hey All, I’m back from another session at blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the upper lot at 835am and it was 29 degrees under partly sunny sky’s. In the house were Atomic Jeff, TP4, Mute, Ryan, Eaf, Bethlehem ford guy and a couple dozen boomers. Come around and vista was nice snow, almost packed powder, midway was semi slick and lower Main Street was boilerplate. Snow guns were blasting on upper Main Street, Burma road, connector, Tuts Lane, Lazy mile and in the valley. I skied like an hour+ then had a beer in the lot...one of the boomers got his Mini Cooper countryman stuck in the lot. He pulled too far forward and Mute and Ryan came to the rescue and towed him out. All in all a pleasent session and i’ll be back tomorrow AM for more of the same.

This is bonus skiing. Blue didn’t open until 12/11 last season.

The valley isn’t gonna open until January.

Blue being open period on Sunday will be a plus.

Is Florida the flattest?

Is that considered part of philly? I believe Philly still has an indoor mask mandate. The Xmas party I’m going to next weekend requires either vaccination or same day negative Covid test to attend and the host who’s my good friend has received some pushback from a few.

I don’t go to Walmart but I guess it’s a lot of low income folks.

I’m starting to notice more people are wearing masks. At Target today at least half of the people were masked.

My uncle used to fly up to mount snow Vermont for the day.

I don’t know how KOP came up but on google it says hidden valley resort is also in KOP but upon further searching, I saw that the buckmans in KOP sells discounted hidden valley passes.

Actually due to climate change all skiing before cinco de mayo is bonus.

I give Blue props for going HAM(hard as a mofo) on the snowmaking with such an ominous forecast...they’re truly making hay while the sun shines.

The valley for Xmas week is always the goal...I’m just so impressed with blue how aggressive they’ve been with snowmaking. They’ve been blowing a lot in the 29-32 temperature range.
