Yup. The last time I was in the podiatry office the doctor suggested new balance foam sole based shoes and I’ve had 3-4 pairs of them over the last 4 years and they seem to help immensely. anything with a slimmer sole or flat sole hurts the hell out of my foot after a few hours.

Hope it’s not plantar fasciitis, been dealing with that for a few years now and that shit SUCKS.

Helmet and skates are about the only thing I’d be willing to spend big $ on now, and even then, it’s last years model or even 2 years back. It blew my mind how expensive stuff got, I couldn’t imagine being a parent and having to outfit a kid with equipment who’s going to grow out of it in a year on top of paying the $2500+ league fees.

That was my thought, however there are plenty of instances of people being severely injured or worse on tubing runs, JFBB and BC, for example and I don’t ever remember them shutting it down for the year from that. I wonder if they aren’t just cutting their losses on a low visit year or something.
