Yeah, I did appreciate they were open this week. Last week the website said they'd be closed this week. Monday's snow changed their minds. There were lots of people paying for lessons when I got my ticket.

I forgot about the dirt lot. Last time I was at Camelback the hotel wasn't there. I wonder if you can buy lift tickets in the hotel.

Out of town this weekend, so no. I feel like we had our spring skiing end of February. Not complaining, I had a nice season.

So I needed another day on my new boots this season. Since I will be out of town this weekend, and unable to attend closing festivities at Blue, I decided to just suck it up and pay to go to the Camel. Conditions pretty good, soft, but not too soft. There's only 1 green and 1 blue trail closed, I think. Someone that works here told me they sold about 100 tickets, rest are season pass holders. Did a quick 18 runs in 2 1/2 hours. I haven't been here in years. Blue definitely has more challenging terrain, and Blue's parking lot scene much better. Nobody tail gating here. But I am glad I came, new boots are working out. Only complaint is they will not be as warm.

I agree, place does suck. Somebody I ski with asked if I'd be interested in going this week. May take them up on it, since I'll miss closing weekend at Blue, will be out of town.

Possible. I am usually only there during the week. Start going weekends end of season.

So, was just looking at Camelback website. They're open all week for skiing?

Couldn't he get regular bindings eventually for them?

I will be there Saturday. Will be out of town following weekend. I'm so bummed the season is ending, but I can't complain. So much rain and warm weather in February. Amazing March.

I would love to go tomorrow. Stupid work

Lots of people there today who obviously do not ski often and a good bit of rentals on the snow. Hopefully they made some money and will stay open until weekend of April 14/15. What a great day, and a great season. The warmth and rain mid February had me thinking the season would be short. Thanks for the cold and snow Mother Nature🙃

My hubby got some State of the art purifier. I admit I skeptical initially, but so far works really well.

The only problem out there is lack of water. You can backpack just about anywhere on East coast, and as long as you have a good water purifier, you will never be thirsty. But, yes, that is the beauty of southwest. Pretty much drive and hour and a half and be in another world.
