oh, make sure to check out the cottage (down by mirror lake inn) for dinner. cozy little place with bangin' food. also, smoke signals and lake placid pub & brewery are a must.

bought new footbed heating elements to replace the broken ones. not a very glamorous purchase, but requires some mad skillz to do the work.

Nope.....we've been staying local the past 3 winters b/c tinymoose went back to school to get an accounting degree. She only has two semesters left (graduating in December), so once she gets a job we should be able to afford to take some trips again.

i wish that mtn got fresh snow more frequently. awesome terrain, but just sucks when it's all icy (which is like always).....

that's good. i just remember the last powder day at blue mtn that i skiied w/ dan and dom that dom biffed it with a season-ending shoulder injury.

@saltyant have you been to WF before? also, in a normal year the food options in LP are the bomb. I'm interested to see how LP is fairing under Comrade Cuomo's reign.

this morning montage was reporting 20" and still snowing. should have some good coverage in the trees this weekend!

WL is a legit steep run. it takes some good ski skillz to make it down safely. thx steeze. it's going nicely, getting mad laps in at Montage. kinda bummed that Blue cancelled all their adult race clinic b/c of COVID-19. thinking of hitting up BC for wednesday nite nastar.

never, never, never check your boots. skis and poles are easily replaced (or rented). well-fit boots, not so much, lol.

yeah it can, but greek peak is in the southern tier, just outside of cortland...not western ny.

that boulder always gives me the creeps. you'd think UDOT would do something about that, lol.

i was on my SL's...but i hadn't sharpened those skis in like 3 or 4 ski days. for one run i traded skis with one of the instructors (mike meyers) and then i felt fine.
