  1. After you mentioned them I researched them on line and everything you said is what they said. They sound very good for bumps and the interchangeable tongue for different flex is great. It was interesting that they are a new age redesign of a boot from the past. I did see some reviews that mentioned inferior buckles on new boots.
  2. Thank you for the offer. Are full tilt boots better than others in bumps or are they just the latest sponsor?
  3. props for braving the weather.
  4. When you originally posted the napkin story, my read was that you were seeing the humor in it, not the big deal blah, blah thing.
  5. I was not aware of that, my apologies. I really should visit with the PASR crew in the lot, then I would be more up to date.
  6. I am hearing good things about Shamans.
  7. Saturday morning's fog caused one skier to take quite an intense fall on challenge. He did not know there were bumps on skiers left, at about the half way point on the headwall he skied into the bumps at high speed, fell and bounced off of 2 or 3 of them then slid off the trail stopping just short of hitting one of the light poles. It was obvious by his movements that he had at least knocked the wind out of himself. When we reached the top we told the lift attendant that he was laying down there. On the next trip up he was not there so hopefully he was unhurt. Worst crash I have seen in a long time. On a lighter note, the bumps on challenge, nightmare and main street were great. All but one of my trips down the hill were bump runs. Got me thinking about adding a set of mogul skis to my quiver, hmmm. Lots of fun skiing the bumps on nightmare then the skier cross track on dreamweaver in the same run.
  8. I love watching a good tele skier gracefully arc turns down the trail.
  9. Hope you get a bunch of fresh tomorrow, you will be like the powder whisperer with all the snow days at JH and now at Blue.

    2/6/18

21 degrees in the valley to start the morning off at Blue today. I met up with Hayata and wife for an excellent morning of empty slopes and very good conditions, snow was good on all trails, except blue baumer glade which was hard and slick but I skied it twice anyway. Razors was closed for race practice and upper sidewinder was roped off for snow making. ROTD was Burma with great snow, took 2 runs on it, had the entire trail to ourselves for run 1, and 3 other skiers on it for run 2. There was a fresh coat on the main street bumps which was very nice for a few 3D snow laps. Nightmare and chute had freshly seeded bumps, and dreamweaver still had the skier cross course on it, with banked turns and jumps for our amusement. We finally scored the 6 pack red chair, we cheered but the attendant was unimpressed. Midweek days are awesome. Hope wednesdays storm is all snow. See yer thursday or friday morning.
  11. I know this is rhetorical but, have a good time.
  12. Same here. I think I have my wife on board with moving up near Blue after retirement.
  13. I am surprised by the 7:30 am breakfast start. The hotel manager must not understand that the first tracks are the best tracks. The couple of times I stayed at places that served breakfast, they started serving much earlier than 7:30. The important thing is that you are enjoying the trip.
