A lot of snow being blown @ blue today. The valley cam view is great, snow flying everywhere. Main street looks especially inviting.

Would 25 or 50 cents per ticket statewide be enough to cover the search and rescues for the year in vermont? If a search and rescue needs to be performed for something other than skiing, should the money come from a surcharge on that sport rather than from a lift ticket surcharge? How am I as a skier responsible for a rock climber, a kayaker, a wayward skydiver, or a lost hiker? Is the money gleaned from lift ticket surcharges going to skier rescues only?

Most people wear helmets and it makes sense. I should have one on. I like the bar down, it gives me a false sense of security. I've been on the lift with people who pull the bar down instantly upon sitting down, but then push it up 3/4s of the way up the hill.??? We were on the six with a guy recently that got bonked with the bar when we got on, then bonked again when we put it up to get off, then the chair got him in the head after he stood up at the top, it was good he had a helmet on.

She didn't say chubby, she said slightly overweight, really thought she was going to blast you. Bagged first chair today with George, got the usual one run on razors and it was excellent. Real good conditions today all over, switchback was in great shape even near the usually icy bottom stretch. The air bag trail got crowded as central park was closed for an event. Good time skiing with Angry Hugo & Atomic.

Less people at blue today than saturday. Decent snow. Seeded bumps on nightmare and main.

Thursday 1-31-13 the entire mountain was frozen solid, every trail. When I arrived @ noon the temp in the parking lot was 42F so I was expecting soft snow, got an ice skating rink. Would have been a perfect day for a flexible flyer. I guess the high winds out of the northwest are what froze the place.
