  1. Funk. That. This is what I mean about avoiding places with lines like that. I dont care how good the Perder is, there is no way in hell I'd have the tolerance to stand there for 45-60 minutes per run
  2. I did Upper and Lower Fast Track and most of it was pitch dark. I couldnt see jack! I know they probably cant justify lighting some of those trails because hardly anyone skis them at night, but dang, put a warning sign or close them or something so I know not to go on them! The most popular trails were well lit.
  3. Welcome back Guitar!! I skied ok on WL. It felt like one of the steeper runs I've done on various ski trips.
  4. Holy schnikies, $129 for a CB lift ticket tomorrow + $10 minimum for parking! $139 to ski at CB. Pretty soon CB will be charging the same rates as CO/UT resorts 🤑
  5. Thanks trackbiker, low crowds. The only time I had to wait was when Phoebe lift shut down for a few minutes due to ski patrol transporting the toboggan or something. There were about 25-30 people stuck. Otherwise the wait was never more than a minute or so. Virtually no one on the Iron Horse Lift as it only goes to the Blue runs The $30 deal is for King's College alumni that I had no idea existed until my friend told me about it. If you know any alumni or current students I'll provide details
  6. TFTI, dont think I skied that though I skied some of those narrow connectors that lead back to the base of Phoebe lift. No idea what the names of those are or if they have names.
  7. Wao, what a grate night at Montage. Arrived around 1800 and walked down like 100 steps to get my $30 discounted lift ticket, then walked up like 100 steps and moved my Chevy Sonic as close to the Phoebe lift as physically possible. Skied some blacks and double blacks like Cannonball, Smoke and White Lightning. Also did Lower Fast Track (dark and icy) and Lower Runaway (even more dark and icy). Then toured the flatlands (blues) at the top of the mountain for old time sake, and did 3 runs. It was a bit windy, cold, and flat so I went back down to the expert slopes which are protected from much of the wind. On my way down I skied Upper Fast Track which was pitch black much of the way. Boo. Skied more expert runs and mostly stuck to Boomer since they're blowing fresh perder and it was like literally amaze-balls for night skiing. The snow was nice and soft. Also did White Lightning a few times. The main Expert slopes (White lightning, Boomer, Smoke, & Cannonball) are very well lit compared to the rest of the mountain. Overall a grate night and conditions were pretty nice. Not a death cookie or sugar pile in sight, just a few slick spots here and there but nothing crazy. JADIP ice is nice.
  8. Getting better at it, it's not like I traverse the whole width of the slope,,
  9. I haven't actually had any problems with driving in the snow since I got my General Altimax RT43's. Granted I haven't driven in anything deep because I just assume it'll get stuck. But I'll take your word for it and next time we get lots of purdur I'll see how my Chevy Sonic does.
  10. Yeah it's still challenging since it's ungroomed and I have to traverse, but doesnt look that steep anymore
  11. Lol White Lightning got much much flatter looking since I last "skied" it when I created this thread. So EZ It's really fun coming back here and skiing all the slopes I used to think were steep
  12. TFTI SUJOPO JADIP WTGAI STFU LQD Stop Hammertime
  13. I have all seasons which work grate. The issue is my Sonic is too low to the ground so a few inches renders it inoperable regardless of tire quality. I think I've only driven in snow once or twice this winter and couldnt justify the cost of snow tires. plus I'm far too lazy to go to the shop 2x a year to swap them, or to buy another set of rims and do it myself 🤷🏻‍♂️
  14. 3-4 in for Friday but keeps changing and I was considering staying Friday night anyway and then drive home Saturday
  15. Looks like it has a restaurant so I'll have no need to go into town after skiing which'll be nice if there's a blizzard. Plus it's in a nice secluded spot and I rode past it on my bike several times in September. Costs more than Cobble Lodge but most hotels in LP have very high rates for Friday night.
  16. Probably accurate, but those 50 car pile ups look scary AF. Though I think they happen more frequently during severe sudden snow squalls.
  17. Thanks Ridge, I guess you changed your mind and will read my Groomer thread. I'll certainly ski many ungroomed pistes if the snow is good, but not sure about doing glades there. Booked the Trout hotel you told me about, so I'll relax Friday evening instead of driving home and enjoy the ambiance
  18. Tuesday whenever the roads are drivable. Since I'm already off work Tuesday I'll try to get to Blue for epic powder conditions and stay there til the Interstates are passable.
  19. The Whiteface people just emailed me back and said the same thing the rep told me yesterday. Good thing they didn't switch me to Gore or I'd be in quite a pickle
  20. I'm very excited for the Perder but please God make it end by early Monday night so the good snowplow people can plow the Interstates so I can make the journey up to Hunter in my Chevy Sonic, Amen.
  21. Grate Report and I see it's rated 5 stars!!! You could have probably gotten 9 runs in if it hadn't been windy.
