  1. But I will be in 10 days. I wasnt aware there was so much snow there. WJW. Should I go somewhere else instead? Is it safe to ski at resorts (not trollin')?
  2. Hope Park City or Deer Valley, Solitude or Brighton, and Snowbasin or Powder Mountain are open or I'll have to find a mint and Morman museums to tour, and maybe ride a funicular
  3. Confused... I love skiing in the snow but shoveling any more than 30 minutes makes me miserable
  4. WJW this thread is a major stoke stomper. I hope things are way better tomorrow
  5. Less ice in Poconos, more in Philly (but still not til 1 pm and later)
  6. Not til later tomorrow afternoon/evening according to (in)Accuweather.
  7. Dont worry, I heard a rumour that the ice pellets wont impact Blue.
  8. Ooooooo yeah 🤠
  9. A lot of snow melted where I live so wasnt sure how off trail skiing will be tomorrow. Hopefully Coming Soon et. al are open and doable
  10. I will do my best to make it in my ShitSonic. Should be epic (but probably not as good as the last storm based on what I've read about it)
  11. Who's going tomorrow to ski the perd? Maybe @GrilledSteezeSandwich should start a roll call thread
  12. As an expert with an extensive background in skiing Whiteface and Vermont, I've performed vigorous quantitative analysis to determine which is best and will now weigh in. After running numerous Monte carlo simulations in a quantum supercomputer, analyzing every nanometer of vertical drop, taking thousands of samples of powder and viewing the snowflakes under an electron microscope, and performing countless interviews and surveys among skiers, I've concluded in my expert unbiased opinion that Whiteface is better than Vermont.
  13. The Sonic performed exceptionally well on my drive to Lake Placid. The tires I bought are really good and live up to their great reviews for winter performance. So I'll risk it this time for da perd. I'll just avoid my usual route which is crossing the Broad Mountain (Rt. 93), as that can be difficult in snow. and even has a runaway truck ramp like Wolf Creek Pass.
  14. It was different when I checked this morning. I'll bring my GoPro.
  15. Looks like it's gonna dump Thursday morning/afternoon now. Hope my Shit Sonic can make it back home!
  16. The Valentine's Day storm of 2007 was Armageddon in Hazleton. Power out for days, people trapped on the Interstates, grocery store shelves empty. I remember walking around the neighborhood hearing chainsaws and trees falling, and remember the distinct smell of the portable kerosene heater burning in the living room, trailer park neighbors huddled around for warmth.
  17. I like this one better - Hitler wants to ski pow at Vail. But I did enjoy the part where he wanted to drink hot cocoa. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35sfp9k5avI
  18. This is grate but why didn't you pair up with the person in front of you to save 5 seconds? The chair looks wide enough to separate by 6 feet. Asking for a friend @eaf
  19. Which one is your favorite? I cant decide between Connector or Shuttle
  20. Everyone busts on me for my short RTMs but I can zip thru trees with ease like zippidty doo dah
  21. Yup, would never wanna go in glades with 'em.
  22. Correct but I was hoping to ski the deep purd mid morning and early afternoon so I can get home in time for chicken tendies
  23. This is grate!! Though I just saw snow showers for early Thursday morning. I want the big leagues, snow showers are child's play. It there's Perder I'll play Riders of the Storm on my bluetooth speaker while murderin' the perder on those super wide Monster 108s and getting radical face shots. I might even say alrighty before every run and maybe record some on my GoProfessional camera
  24. Thanks. I'd love to give Walt's Monster 108s a rip through the powder (promise I wont go off groomers with them though!)
