Renaissance Stapleton. It's nice never stayed at one before.

Magnificant view from my hotel in Denver. I thought the rockies would be a little rockier than this. That John Denver's full of shit.

Slushy and baked snow... I'll pass (waits for incoming MOAB level flaming)
-
Thanks. Going to drive to Georgetown or something and look at the snow. My rental today costs only $20 but to add 24 hours it costs an extra $80. Fudge that. Not worth it for 2 hours of use tomorrow. Haven't eaten anything all day so I will be very very hungry for Casa Bonita tonight.

Any recommendations for things to do in downtown Denver? I have all afternoon. Never been the city really so might as well check it out. Beats sitting in the hotel all day.
-
The snow is rad but gonna take a hard pass on driving into the Rockies. Visibility is basically zero so no point. Will shoot for tomorrow evening after work, I'll have an hour or 2 of daylight.

Near Allentown for Octoberfest and the leaves are still green.

I'm confused. Geeze posted stop which is a toast copyright phrase. Toast posted Lo Quiso Dijon mustard which is a Steeze catchphrase. Root posted wow just wow which is a Steeze saying. Have we entered an alternate forum universe like salty land?

Snow is super stoke worthy but driving might be treacherous. How will a small economy rental car handle the steep grades of the Rockies? Will I need to put chains on the tires? That cold mountain air sounds frostbite inducing, hope I can maintain dryness of my socks and A Christmas Story hat. So stoked!

Lo Que Dijon meme is funny. I think this forum could use moar Lo Que Dijon.

11:30 am, which will undoubtedly become 11:30 pm at the earliest. If I get there on-time I plan to rent a car for one day and drive up into the mountains, but not sure exactly where. The high for Denver is 45 so it will be quite cold.

Yep. Only from Sunday to Wednesday, and Sunday is the only day I'll potentially get to do anything. Flying Delta and not American so everything should be A-Ok.
-
Next week I'm going to Denver for work. Hoping to see some snow on the Rockies since I've only been there in the summer.

This weather really sucks but next weekend looks amazing.... forecasted low of 38 next Saturday.

Worth working s a ski instructor to Ski for free?
saltyant replied to Maksim's topic in General Chat
Not worth it. -
Dude... You good today? Grilled Steeze has been quite salty lately. I think once he gets on skis he'll be back to normal.

Nope, it was MPH. I just pointed my RTMs downhill and went for it. That's nothing, though. Legend has it AtomicSkier clocked 85 MPH on a police radar gun on Ffloyd's Folly.

Susquehanna. Its very wide and there was no one around. It was officially logged on my SkiTracks app which I verified to be accurate by comparison to car spedometer. You can check my Elk TR from last year for definite unrefutable proof

Elk is my favorite place because I hit 57 mph for the first time.
