Yep. I'll be at the True Blue next season. I'll miss Camelback but felt I could use a change in venues to keep my interest in skiing. Who knows, if Blue disappoints next season I might end up back at Camelback. I have to say, the VIP line at Blue yesterday was faster than all the single lines at Camelback today. But Blue wasnt nearly as crowded yesterday so not sure if that's a fair comparison.
-
No problem. It was so crowded today and I forgot what color you wear. I stayed until around 12. Once the singles line started taking 10-15 minutes that was enough for me. Overall a great day though and the funnest for me in a few weeks. I was making fun of them a bit with the Rocky pic, but the snow was really good on most trails. The black diamonds were kind of crappy, though. Mashed potato type snow mixed with pure ice. But all the blue trails were fantastic.

I don't think I can come up with anything funnier than that Rocky picture today. That's so hilarious. I updated my stats for you. I still have a comfortable lead in first place.

Actually was going through my photos from today and just realized I took one of Rocky training in the powder on Nile Mile.

I was gonna do a trip report, but since I lost my tagging privileges forget it. I'll just post this pic and use some hashtags. #powpowpow #sundayfunday #18inches #sickbird #JustLikeRockyIVWhenHe'sTrainingInSiberia

If you’re not spending your day at Camelback tomorrow, are you even trying to have a Sunday Funday? Ski you on the slopes. -

Correct. Not sure how CB is but I imagine pretty similar to Shawnee. I might go to CB tomorrow morning. It seemed Blue got almost nothing and everything was left over snow. -

I seem to be in the minority today because I found the snow enjoyable on most trails, except on the two Main Streets. I'm such a noob because I Kept looking for Nightmare but couldn't remember how to get to it. Lawl. -
Looks like I-80 around that area is still shut down. Can't wait to hear the full report from Enjorales.
-
They repeatedly made me think the opening was imminent even though it wasnt. If they would have said "lift opens at 3" then I wouldn't have cared. Looks like they dont have either high speed quad running today.
-
Blue was pretty rad. Skied Lazy Mile a lot which was in good shape. Also did 2 Burma runs and some Paradise and Dreamweaver. One run down Main Street but it sucked. Also saw some cool PASRs and got some second-hand vape.
-
I was considering going to Camelback to ski some packed powder, but after reading this and all the Facebook comments I'll pass.
-
They pulled that crap the one time when Stevenson Lift was on delay. Kept saying check back in 30 minutes starting at noon and they didn't open the lift until 3.
-
Decided on True Bloo today. I80 is still a cluster and the roads sound horrible.

3/3-3/4 weekend roll call thread...

Hopefully. There will be so much fresh cord tomorrow at First Tra×! -
I didn't know they opened the new one. I used to love driving the old one. Rolled my windows down in case it buckled. Today would have been a bad day to drive it if it were still in use.
-
Sometimes I drive just to see dumb stuff like that. When I was in Las Vegas I drove 5 hours round trip just to see the gate at Area 51 and to eat an Alien Burger at the world famous Little Alie-Inn.
-
Here's what Kurt is saying: I kinda want to drive west like 10 miles just to see the abrupt transition into no snow.
-
IDK. 6-8 inches?
-
Ok! I'll look for you on the Stevenson Side.
