  6. @EdBacon I love documentaries and snow. Curious what you come up with. Have you seen this one about Monarch Mountain? https://www.pbs.org/video/monarch-mountain-gmj3ww/
  7. They don't do online orders. And there's a glitch in their system. Do you know if they accept fax orders?
  8. @Mess - When are you going out to Colorado? Remember that some of the resorts close mid-April. Even if it's closing day though, they usually have 100" of base still. I would recommend skiing Keystone / Copper / Breckenridge. They give you varied terrain especially for your wife. Check out the maps. Most of the resorts will allow you to take a run down a black and her on a blue then meet at the same lift. But, I LOVE loveland. There's usually dogs, grills and people hanging out in the parking lot. It's a chill scene. For renting skis, if it's a big powder day and you don't have fat skis - you might want to rent. Otherwise, I bring my out there. I use this bag. It fits my 2 skis, boots, clothes, helmet. And, the roller is key while walking through the massive CO airport. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07NK59SB9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  9. Reminds me of the ski porn, Pretty Faces. The production company, Unicorn Picnic, has a farting unicorn in the intro. Great movie if you haven’t seen it yet. It’s about a bunch of rad skier girls. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7TuVz2fnO8
  10. Hahah @saltyant & @GrilledSteezeSandwich After a wild day, tonight was a 14 course meal with all the different meats like Ghanaian peanut curry, Mozambican chill chicken wings, South African lamb, and seared ostrich meat, Today’s pic is from Cape Point, South Africa
  11. Woot! @RidgeRacer if you pass through Gunnison, stop in High Alpine Brewing for a beer. It’s a great scene. highalpinebrewing.com
  12. no snow obviously but took a gondola up to the top of Table Mountain in Cape Town, South Africa 🇿🇦 You can see the sun setting over the south Atlantic Ocean. Incredible views up there.
  13. that's awesome. Beaver Creek does cookies on a platter at 3pm everyday and it really is lovely. But, must admit @enjoralas's meats in the parking lot sound better. More important question, who is going to photoshop @enjoralas face and the meats on this photo first?
  14. looks fun! I'm definitely down for some touring adventures in the spring. I've been reading this book and have been getting stoked to explore more. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1934028142/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  15. Who is changing it up this weekend and skiing Whistler with Chelsea Handler?
  16. It was a hot mess of a fall.. 🙈 definitely don’t recommend it
  17. Agreed with @AtomicSkier . But, it's cool to be cautious. He's right, tree wells aren't magnets but be sure you can control your turns depending on the tightness of the trees. I was out with a guided ski group in the side country / backcountry of Lake Louise Resort in 2016. Once we hit tree line, my speed was fast and the trees were tight. I fell then slide into a tree well. It was quite the adventure getting out.. only lost my favorite goggles, a cell phone, and my confidence to the Banff National Park. Push yourself but stay safe. If you dip into tight trees, ski near other people. Control your speed and enjoy the fluffy powder goodness.
  18. Definitely not me. But did you all see that a 10-year skied Corbet's last week?!
  19. I'm heading on a trip until March 9th but I want to hit up some IKONic resorts in mid-lateMarch. I've been eyeing the weekend of March 21 at Killington because there's also a beer fest at night ... https://www.vermontbrewers.com/festivals/vermont-brewers-festival-killington/
  20. Close. Goldendoodle. He’s 10 and loves snow, and rocking the snowbeard. He use to backcountry ski with me a bunch
  21. I decided to dust off my touring skis and head up to Camelback this morning. I packed the car with skis and my dog, Birmy, and we were off to go find some snow. When I got to Camelback, I was unsure of the uphill policy. I called during the week and I was told I needed to buy a lift ticket (turns out, I don’t think you do). After walking around with Birms and letting him roll in the snow, ski patrol told me that I could skin up Laurel Glade to Birches and didn’t mention anything about the lift ticket. I was told that the uphill route changes depending on the time of the day based on crowds and to check-in with ski patrol before you go up. I put Birms in the car and I went up for my first lap. It was about 1 mile and 675 vertical feet. It was a sweaty mile, so I went to check on the dog and decided to leave my jacket in the car for the next lap. It was my first time touring in over a year, so still need to get faster and fitter for spring mountains but it took about 30 minutes while telling the beginners they need to put down the lever before stepping down and helping a few little shredders up. Wish I had a GoPro though – not for the gnarly views or conditions but when I got to the top, I was breathing heavy and had my airpods in. I was near the top of Birches and saw a man frantically waving at me. I pulled out an airpod and asked him if he was okay. He goes, “Are you okay? Do you know you’re going the wrong way?!” Overall, solid workout and would definitely do it again.
  22. Not a strip club per se .... but are you visiting Strawberry Park Hot Springs at night, @enjoralas, @saltyant, @pops ? Hard to see much with the steam and darkness but clothing tends to be optional once dusk hits. https://strawberryhotsprings.com/
