Interested in Friday but taking off this week will be tough (taking a lot of time in March). Saturday morning is looking like Blue...or maybe I'll get wild and check out Frost, either way I can't get too far off the beaten path Saturday.

Another Blue-tiful today. Should be a great day / night for skiing. Will be there later this evening. Hopefully sans busses.

I did exactly the same. Didn't realize that I wasn't supposed to be on it until halfway down. Sidewinder was closed, NMDW was closed, Razors was closed and last but not least...coming soon was closed. At least challenge was good. Really good actually along the right side, near the fabled Guns and Hoses trail.

I've debated the opposite actually... actually going in filling in the years that I didn't log 10 or 12 seasons ago. I only remember certain dates though.

I always thought it was cool of Blue to pay homage to Carbon County's rich history with that trail name. Would be neat if there were more trail names along those lines...Maybe Coming Soon Will be called "Olympian" in honor of Jim Thorpe, or maybe "Zinc"?

That pic of the potholes is pretty embarrassing though. It looks like something out of an episode of Peppa Pig. With that said...I know it would cost a fortune to pave and yes I'd, of course, rather have the $$ put into snowmaking and lift maintenance. But as foolish as it may be to us, that kinda shit can and will deter skier visits. Not from the hardcores who don't give a shit about the lot or lodge of course but from the President's Day / MLK Weekend crowd who show up at 10am and have to trudge through the mud to get to the lodge who drop dough on rentals, lessons and food. Just know from experience working in the industry, that kinda stuff matters. I've literally watched people walk through the door in the summer and ask if they can go skiing. You'd be amazed.
