1/19/2015...MLK day..empty..nice snow..
RidgeRacer replied to GrilledSteezeSandwich's topic in Blue Mountain
The quad was the place to be until around 1030. Literally no one was riding it. Snow was pretty good. Razors and switchback were glorious. NMDW as well. Nice morning for sure. -
I saw you on razors. Couldn't catch up. stuck to the quad most of the day.

I'm loving the gaper discussion on the lift today "wow... Look at that terrain Park.. I didn't know they had a terrain Park...they must have just put it in this year"

Siliconbobsquarepants seems like a cool dude. He should post here. I like his handle. -
Bump. Phillycore the Denver to Steamboat car ride stoke mix is complete. I think you'll enjoy. I also feel much better now that the Broncos are booted from the playoffs. I may have bailed on you guys had the Donks won the super bowl and we arrived on the day of their parade. My stomach couldn't handle that nonsense.

If jack frost jumped off the Golden Gate bridge would blue jump off as well? -
Jan 17 2009 PASR invaded jack frost

That day was fun. I think that was the day we chased TTC6 down One Park to talk to him but he pretty much wanted no parts of it. May have also been the legendary radar gun day on Floyds. 2010s PASR day was the most epic of PA Ski days that I can remember. -
Looks awesome. See you in a few weeks Barb.

Skiing or Riding - what is more popular among kids/teens now?
RidgeRacer replied to Ski2Live Live2Ski's topic in General Chat
Depends on when you're there. -
I'm at Blue currently. Conditions are great. Temps are comfortable. NMDW is skiing really well.

Thanks for the shout out. I only rode the lift with you about 100 times. Anyway so nice to ski challenge and switchback for the first time this year. Both of which were fantastic. Switchback especially. Dreamweaver on the other hand was shit. Cookie surfing basically. Overall a pretty awesome day though. Probably be back tomorrow for an evening sesh. -
in case anyone hasn't figured it out yet, the media is an absolute joke.

I'm on my way. All this talk of cookies has me getting hungry. A balmy 3 degrees out right now -
How many years have I known you and you still can't spell my name lol? Prepare for the most epic of TRs. We're bringing PASR back out of the dumpster.

I actually collect trail maps. I have stockpiles in the closet.. My girlfriend loves it. Lol

I don't think so either but even if it is the case who cares? Every hill is different. Yes the top is flat but the bottom is steeper than Blue. Montage probably has better snow / grooming as well. Blue is a completely different animal all together. While I love skiing Blue and has plenty of things that make it great, it isn't, nor should be, the gold standard by which everything else is compared.

Still no razors? -
Just back from Sir Jackson of Frost. Wanted to meet up with Dan who I just missed and Phillycore who was busy at lineup so today was a solo session. The snow started at 1030 and continued pretty much the entire time that I was there until a little after 1. There were some bouts of sleet mixed in but nothing major. The snow was pretty damn good. I pretty much lapped elevator glade and happyland (what I could ski of it) today. E glade (pic attached) was worth the price of admission. It was so damn good. The elevator however was a jungle with sticker bushes and branches everywhere, good for maybe 2 turns then out to river shot. It looks eerily familiar... Like 6 years ago familiar when it was unskiable. Sadly unless we get a serious dump it may be that way this season. Anyway a good time at frost today for certain with nice snow with a little fresh mixed in for good measure.
