  1. I crack up every time I see those "To keep kids on snow" stickers at Big Boulder. There's literally one on every chair. Anyway I rarely look at Epic anymore and never look at AZ so this is it. Keep up the good work gents.
  2. Bacon cheese fries (or lack thereof) nuff said.
  3. I like the move back to the mountains true name.
  4. Also noticed less moose on the site. Nicely done.
  5. Great deals mid week. I'll be up there once or twice this season. Thanks for the heads up.
  6. Oh snap.
  7. I was there. From what heard they weren't happy about him stopping us. FWIW I've never heard a whistle at Jack frost or bb.
  8. Just back. Met up with Dan on Thunderbolt as he came flying by me. Skied over to East for sample run through the Mad Tree Glade and the Elevator trees to the elevator. Snow in the Mad Trees and the Elevator glade needs some traffic to pack things down a bit so Dan and I obliged. We did a few runs on the elevator then we headed west to Happyland which is skiing nicely. Some parts are thin still but all in all Happyland never disappoints. I'm really liking the bumps on challenge and the newly improved Thunderbolt glade - both are a very nice upgrade from last season. We also skied some trees to the right of Demattes which ended up being a nice surprise. All in all - great day today. The crowds seem to have left, at least until the weekend.
  9. Maybe 2013 is the year you finally get banned.
  10. They don't do that here dude.
  11. Vader needs love. Outer edge starting with the baller route is pretty much the only line.
  12. In what has become an annual tradition, meeting up with Jfdan for New Year's Day turns at Jackson frost. East Mountain is open now with solitude and lightning in addition to river shot. The elevator is not yet 100% from what I hear. A light snow is falling but I don't think it will amount to anything. More details to follow...
  13. The instructors were probably doing some sort of goofy training exercise. Sucks when you bite it under a lift while sporting the colors.
  14. The owner also compares his mountain to Vermont but will have his stormtrooper patrollers clip your ticket if you ski in their trees. (sorry - I know it's the a BC thread but I couldn't resist ).
  15. I actually like Elk's lodge - Unless you're talking about that little outhouse thingy with the fire and grill for roasting hotdogs.
  16. HA! I was wondering what he was saying to you. I was busy with my fried foods.
  17. You would want to ski elk fully open. save the gas and go to frost. Edit...you're probably on your way. Disregard.
  18. Here's a classic..
  19. Ok Measured it - More like 6 inches.. Still falling lightly though,
  20. Dan the man said it all. Frost was awesome today, It snowed and snowed and snowed from open to close. Extremely busy day but managed to make a few runs with Dan and lunch with Phillycore who was also in the house. One Park was nice. Also skied the new and improved T Bolt glade - still thin in spots but it'll suffice if your looking for a little tree action. Happyland is also nice. Still hesitant to go too far in though. Damatte's around 2pm or so was Deion Sanders (Prime Time) with freshly fallen snow to plow though - so much fun. Roads were plowed out nicely around 4 or so and had no problems getting home. GREAT day!
  21. Lake harmony is the place to be. A solid 8 inches so far Still falling too.
  22. very nice!
  23. Just back from BB. Met JFDan who was pulling 2 mountain JF and BB day. Dan was pulling his best Clark Griswald on the sled impersonation on his new Blizzard Bonifides. They're fast. We skied BB park, Bunny Elbow and Love a number of times. Snow is top freaking notch right now with the left overs from the storm. Tonight, however, I witnessed something that in all of my years of skiing I've never seen before nor may ever see again. While standing in the lift line, the lights at the base where the BB lift went out, We turned and a skier, wearing a bright hunting jacket, was laying face first giving us the thumbs up to let us know he was ok (injured football player on the stretcher style). He came came flying down the tree gully area right where the lift line starts at the BB lift, tripped on a power line and actually took out the lights - amazing. Anyway - fun night tonight.
  24. Vermont or not it looks really nice!
