ya, it was crazy. there are literally neighborhoods in Staten Island that do not exist anymore...Sandy wiped them right off the map

smack dab in central brooklyn. its crazy cause it was just a stormy weekend in my neighborhood, but drive 15 minutes in either direction and people lost literally everything. my buddy lives in south brooklyn and it looked like a bomb went off in his neighborhood. the craziest part was driving through lower manhattan at night during the blackout, amazing how freaky it was being in pitch black manhattan. it was usually a 30 minute drive from my apartment to my job in manhattan, but took 6 hours during sandy due to public transportation being down. i couldnt drive my car for weeks afterwards due to no gas...eventually waited in a 5.5 hour line for free gas

7 year anniversary of Sandy. probably the most surreal experience of my life

i go into every season assuming BB will be open the second weekend of november. that means my season starts in 2.5 weeks. hooray!

they claim the ski hill opens in december. might have to check it out on a rain day

nice pics! i might have cried if i saw that snake. ironically, there was a snake in my driveway yesterday...probably the smallest snake I have ever seen in person. i thought it was a worm til i bent down to look and it slithered away. i was going to kill it, but then thought "Why should I kill this innocent animal due to my irrational fear?"
