More bumps = More better!

Yeah, conditions not going to be optimum this weekend by any stretch, but considering the past week's weather, anything cold is better than that! Should be able to blow snow tonight, so get a nice coating that won't last long as it'll get scraped off fast into granular bumps. Hopefully they either reset all the bump runs or at least blow in them.

We made a bee-line back onto the mountain just after Tarpon took that picture thinking we were gonna have a glorious, sun-filled afternoon of bump skiing...No such luck. By the time we got back up to the top, the fog was thicker than it was all day and absolutely no sign of the sun!

It'll be open in the spring with T2B bumps!

Always talk to Shabeau up there if you find something you like. He's usually willing to help with price.

Even yesterday around 2pm Sidewinder was virtually empty. Tarpon and I had almost the entire run to ourselves.

What a difference a day makes! First run on Razor's on Sat was a sheet of ice, this morning it was covered in a glorious layer of fresh, chalky man-made. They blew on every trail which made conditions probably the best they've been so far this year. They blew a ton in the bumps which made them the run of the day for me anyway. Lowe Main Street was awash in marbles the entire day. Saw the aftermath of a crunch on the way up... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yup took the kid back to school. It was ironic though, he forgot his water bottle up at Blue, so we ended up stopping there around 1pm. Lift lines looked crazy, yet the slopes looked pretty empty.

Down right death defying first thing in the morning. No, ski patrol never opened it back up. Race coach said that ski patrol said that it was too dangerous. Guess they didn't want to be tobogganing people off of it the rest of the day. Should make for interesting races Sunday!

Around 1pm or so the flakes started flying pretty good, so good that they even shut down Mountain Road for a bit while they plowed and cindered. Conditions were definitely improving with the extra inch or so that was falling. Had to bug out early but not before witnessing yet another vehicle going down the connector slope where the van was the other year, this time it was a big-ass pickup truck. Evidently the driver had a dislocated shoulder and was headed to the hospital and someone sent him down the trail. Since the trail goes nowhere, he tried backing up but the "road" is totally iced over. Not sure how they're gonna get him out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
