  1. Since misery loves company. Hardest part for me was laying in bed not falling asleep cause pain in knee and not the position I wanna sleep in and looking at tips how to prop leg up…and doom scrolling reddit shit then have to pee.. getting out of bed thinking about different muscles from 30 years ago in biology, pee, drink water, ice knee, 20 minute ordeal to get comfortable then pain then have to pee again and still dark out… Oh and mini market chick said something to me..when she saw me limping and women are extra sweet to me…
  2. Blue says it’s still soup season and post up a picture of their French onion soup on their Facebook. Blues social media is killing it..I used to hate on them and actually ran into the girl who blocked me like 8-9 years ago at a downtown Allentown bar..but I would post dumb shit like,”Is the stunt ditch open?” Or “Put that in your half pipe and smoke it” What I like about blue is it can be the windiest day and the lifts still run..you can’t say that about many places…the locals are rad..and that’s who’s doing most of the skiing…even when I was 11 years old I loved hearing about other ski places like Hunter and Killington from 40 and 70 year old skiers.. I miss the old Blue 730am openings..twice daily grooming..but they didn’t have as many runs..the crowded days then had 20-30 minute liftlines..I rode the old challenge lift with a lot of OG PASRs.. @Schif @pyro_boarder @skidude @AtomicSkier And I do like when friends of friends pick my brain about blue history but I’m like that with everything Allentown and alot Jackson hole now..blue is just an extension to that Social media changed it all, I remember ski, skiing, powder and snow country magazine having articles about ski resorts have tough financial times and how aging boomers leave the sport vacant and the new free riders and snowboarding fad sure did help a lot but social media/cheap season passes…Vailification…Covid done changed the sport…some say advances in equipment as well… Old Jackson hole air force heads could still rip on some K2 Journey Edition with the rocket ship 63mm underfoot and under 100 in the tips while the YouTubers are like Brah I should switch my 106s for my 118s it’s choppy… I’ll be right back gonna get my bearings and have a Gatorade and a soft pretzel at the Casper lodge and I’ll tip on that shizz
  3. They’re closed tomorrow…
  4. Thanks…I’m healing pretty well…the wrap they put around my knee really helped a lot..when I remove it in the shower I notice quite a difference. I didn’t need crutches today and even stopped at Wegners which no way I could do Friday-Monday.. Still real wonky getting into and out of car, I’ve accidently honked the horn a few times. Im optimistic I’ll be back at Blue maybe next week or the week after.
  5. Oh Lordy you got yourself in a real pickle…if possible I always try to get the gate agent to do my bag tags as they suck…I’ve never checked a boot bag and never will, I don’t even have a boot bag, some of the boomers who boot up in the lodge have really schmancy boot bags..maybe Harold will show you his sometime. Did you fly to Eagle airport or Denver so you could visit the mint?
  6. Nice view, did you bring your fishing rod??? How was your travel out there? Have fun
  7. The bird is the word song is also a good one and your fan base will recognize the song from their teenage years

  9. Do y’all do any covers or take requests? I like that taking care of business song.
  10. How many different ski areas have you hit this season? So are you buying some tickets since you can only use one Indy pass per day?
  11. Good they’re blowing gonna be in the 60s next week. It seems like they went quite a long stretch in February with limited or no snowmaking.
  12. Today I’m optimistically thinking maybe just maybe I’ll be able to ski a little bit later this month…my knee being wrapped makes a big difference. Without skiing and minimal sleep until last night, this was by far the longest weekend.
  13. @SallyCat moved to Ascutney back in 2018
  14. Thanks I’m just taking it day by day. It’s obviously rough not having skiing right now but don’t wanna hurt myself worse..
  15. The last 48 hours since Friday morning has not been great for me. By Friday night lots of swelling above my knee…I walked maybe 50 steps to the lobby to pick up my Uber eats and that was a chore. Sleeping was tough, minor depression and PTSD..Atomic Jeff said I’m dramatic, yeah maybe. Yesterday made an adventure to the vending machine and mustered up the strength to go to the mini market last night for Zyn, pretzels and some drinks…they also sell crutches in Uber eats. Today went to Patient first around 10am…nobody was there, had x rays, doctor thinks it’s some sort of sprain…wrapped up knee, gave me anti inflammatory prescription and I bought crutches…they suggested going to Walmart cause cheaper or borrowing from a friend..nah I didn’t want to hobble around Walmart. I also was taught how to use the crutches, never used them before. So my attitude is better now, trying to be positive, missing skiing sucks but I need to be better for day to day life. I’m supposed to help with deliveries tomorrow..I don’t know.
  16. Smart you’ll get an extra 42 hours out of your brakes doing that.
  17. That stinks but one day has to be the worst and at least you weren’t limping back to your car..just gotta set the bar really low and it’s not spring it’s February for a couple more hours.
  18. Nice report..a few years when I was in college Bolton wasn’t operational and I hiked it a few times with skis, I only skied lift served there once and was night skiing so not as much open. Looks like an incredible amount of snow on the ground there and should stick around awhile.
  19. Did you park at the top? Nice job describing the conditions lol
  20. I don’t think I’ve ever been OK wahahahah…but if you see me pussyfooting down stuff tomorrow you know why, I’m already planning on Paradise first give challenge a break for a second, just like I avoid the stretch of road old lady crashed into me.
  21. And sorry, that was Lucas Catania..he was on his way back to Utah after skiing in Canada.
  22. @sibhusky James from Rise and Alpine visited the Big Mountain Montana. His mantra is ski fast and rip ass!!
