Had another awesome session at Big Snow today.  Felt amazing walking into the now familiar fridge.  Very light crowds as usual again and a new park build.  Ended up grabbing the 6 pack which drops the 2 hour sessions to $33.33.  All in all JADIP!20230515_135121.thumb.jpg.f306e758ea3181f4f1e830108c7bb2c7.jpg

it looks like they expanded the width of the park too?

It's back to normal after the rebuild, they had it a little narrow because they built a sidewindey track for some Burton event last month.  Super fun build, something for everyone.  Beginner, intermediate and advanced lines on 3/4 feature runs.

Anyone know how often they need to make snow at American Dream? I'm curious how much they lose from just skier usage since it never gets above freezing and there's no sunlight.

I believe they make a little fresh snow every night to keep the surface predictably just how they want it.  Doesn't take all that much $ as it is always kept at proper temperature and humidity and they have the equip built in. Basically just flip a swich.

Nope I believe they just run it as a backup to the lift now.  I'll be there Monday for an opening sesh!

I have not seen it run since the first 6 months or so of their original opening.  Even then, it only ran when the chair line got backed up.

Rode it on a Saturday this past December when the place was packed.  It was painful to watch the first-timers try to load it.  The guy running the t-bar would send them back to the chairlift if they didn't figure it out after two attempts.

Sorry but why would you ride American dream during ski season?  I still have zero interest in going. I’m happy with blue mountain having the shortest runs of anywhere I ski.

LOL!  I think it was the only place nearby with bumps to ski that weekend.
