Starting my TR early as I'm rolling solo straight from work (NYC) to the Green Mountains at 05:00 and may keep this going live for my entertainment and yours. Plan to arrive in the Sun Bowl lot about 8:45, run in get Ikon pass, change and fueled by caffeine and stoke hit the snow. Stratton claims 4" Monday night into Tuesday with light snow continuing through tonight and currently the potential for a mini system to dump another 5" for me Wednesday night into Thursday. I am expecting gondy windhold Thursday regardless but if the freshies comes, this could get Ikonic....10 points

Ride Boulder from about 930-330 today. I was pleasantly surprised how much fun we had, I thought we would be bored and end up leaving after 2 hours. Snow was nice, easy to carve corduroy, good coverage, and they had 5 trails open on skiers right. Also some beginner stuff and park skiers left, which we didn’t check out. New lift is nice. Place was pretty much empty6 points

Well today I totally sucked and only made it one mile up Tiehack before I decided to transition and come back down. The temps were low 40’s when I arrived and brilliant sunshine beating down on me. Still got in a solid hour of good cardio so I am satisfied. Buttermilk closes 3/31 and it’s getting quite mushy. All mashed potatoes on the way down.5 points

im surprised they're opening fri. i was expecting them to be doing snowmaking until it really wasn't possible anymore. looks like the window closes around 11. imo they should have just let it sit fri, mowed it down fri night. whatever, it's skiing though. maybe i'll head over fri night.4 points

They reported like 20 inches of snow here last week but sure doesn’t seem like it up on that ridge line. I am guessing it was very windy last week blowing snow out of the top of those lines she the bright March sun the past few days nuking the rest. Once you cleared the drop in area and the exposed rocks it was fun.4 points

I'm just happy there's one more weekend. Don't feel right calling it a ski season on March 17. March 24th is way better. And Belleayre of course is always a possibility after that.3 points

Yes, I remember you mentioned it a few years ago in a Deer Valley trip report and made it a point to ride. TFTI2 points

Hey All, It’s almost the weekend..some thought this past Sunday was closing day but alas Mother Nature and the blue mountains operations team are delivering three more days of skiing and riding. Is anybody planning on skiing Blue mountain this weekend? Friday they are open 12pm-8pm and Saturday and Sunday will be doing their Dolly Parton 9-5…the lineup Sunday am will be long but worth it cause not many players left in the game.1 point

Are you paying attention to aspect to find the best conditions? Typically east facing terrain softens up first and north facing terrain is more likely to stay chalky1 point

I did that trip years ago, purg is worth a visit and Durango has a super dope Nepalese place called Himalayan Kitchen. Get the yak shi momo for sure. The drive from Silverton to Quray is redonk redonk, like pull over every 10 mins and look at shit. Telluride is soooooo pretty and by setup one of the coolest ski towns.1 point
