Hey All, I’m back from another morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot before 720am and it was 46 degrees under partly sunny skies. In the house were Atomic Jeff, JFDan, Mixilplix Indiggio, Gary, Bethlehem Ford Crew, PARidge, BenM and Slim. First run on Paradise was smooth and fast with a little icy sheen. Lazy Mike was similar with the falls being a little rough. Main Street was pretty nice, firm up too and softer lower down. I skied sidewinder for the first time this season and it was rough..not smooth and the snow hadn’t softened yet. Back to paradise and Main Street for some more. I skied challenge once and it was boilerplate and ended on midway which was choppy. All in all pretty nice, definitely not full on spring conditions but the warmer temperatures felt nice. Ski some of you tomorrow, JADIP4 points

With the family out in Boise visiting friends and we all went to Bogus Basin today. Half an inch of rain in town yesterday so expecting a good yield in the mountain. 16 mile access road up to BB, with half below the snow line. Slow going when you hit the snow but they did a good job clearing it. Listed 7” in the last 24 hours, 17” in the last 48 and it didn’t disappoint. It wasn’t JH blower snow but everything was open and could ski anywhere. Vis at the summit was maybe 15 feet in spots but got better as you went down the hill. Couldn’t really tell where I was with the vis so it was good to be with a local. Kids quit early as they weren’t having fun in the fog and that let the dad’s off the hook and we went for the steeper stuff. Finished with Little Nugget and Liberty. Parked in lot #4. Had its own ski in/out trail and could ski right to the car. I wouldn’t want to park anywhere else.1 point

6-8 th Two chances ( possibly a big one) if all the parts time right. Looks really cold and dry till the end of the month and especially if there’s snow on the ground.1 point

i see lots of stuff that says January is going into the freezer. Probably colder than we really need, but it might take the guess work out of what type of precipitation might fall.1 point

No indoor water park, but they have rides, shows and a character lunch. Grandkids are 2 and 4.1 point

The woman that is care taker for our local air strip shut it down to xc skiing last year. Too many tourists I guess. This year as long as you have her verbal permission you can ski it. I finally ran into her and got my OK. Woke up to 3” and socked in skies. Used my fat xc skis and skied from my front door to the air strip. It’s an open straight run for about 3/4 of a mile then it goes into the trees. I went way back in the trees and I know inward on someone’s land but that someone isn’t here full time. Nobody else around, breaking trail. Those skis excel at ungroomed stuff. No hills or anything but fun little jaunt.1 point

Fun day... Paradise was the best run of the day by far. Enjoyed razors a lot as well. Skied that a few times. Main was also good. Was nice skiing new terrain but the new terrain was meh. Free fall was kinda bad as was switchback, which seems like its open prematurely (it's kinda narrow). Lazy was nice. Overall a fun day that looked and felt like winter in the mountains. Aesthetically pleasing I'm sure for the masses skiing this week. Back tomorrow at some point1 point

@Johnny Law yeah I think was on either Wineskin or Whispering Jesse. Took one more run off Big Burn and ran through Sneaky’s Glades popped out and finished with the short Jack of Hearts bump run. When I got to the bottom of Big Burn I knew I didn’t have another one left in me as it’s 3200 from top to base. Scooted down to the base, almost ate shit on some out of nowhere rocks. Stopped to compose myself and heard some girls saying “Be careful lots of rocks here” to each other. Overall stellar day.1 point

I'll be skipping skiing this weekend since I'm hanging with my brahs. I'll prob ski a lot next week and weekend. Might drive to Hunter on Christmas Day. Or maybe stay with Ski2Live at Stowe if he has a a spare bunk bed at the budget motel he's staying at and maybe we can split an expired Hershey chocolate bar for sustinence.0 points
