  1. Hope this did not cause you to miss karaoke last night.
  2. Lots of dumb lines were skied yesterday, Im assuming some of them were your lines. Have you ever looked at the rocks and stumps under the 6er? Its tough to cover 12" tall rocks and stumps with 6" of snow..... It was a little crispy till I go there, but the bumps were great!
  3. Yay for bumps, hopefully the rebuild skier cross on NMDW as well!
  4. Has there been a lot of snowboarders out? The powder snow usually brings them out in packs.
  5. Be safe getting home boys, its brutal out there.
  6. You’re a fucking idiot, what was the avalanche danger posting at the gate? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Got it, and it was seamless with a verification email with in seconds of buying.
  8. Full on winter at Camelback and cheap season passes, does it get any better?
  9. Im not bringing skis, lets just hang out in the lot.
  10. Its awesome just the way it is, no changes needed. Bumps to skier cross, cant go wrong!
  11. Pictures from cougar night please! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Figure out what the snow is like before buying, Sierra cement (going to need some stiffness) or Utah blower pow and meadow skipping (a bit softer is a good thing), that is going to make a difference. For waste width, Id shoot for 100-110 under foot range with a bit if rocker and some camber under foot and you're golden out west. Remember, even on the deepest days you're going to need to get back to the lift on some kind of run out so you need a ski that still turns on groomers.
  13. Take some notes on how to carry your skis, I prefer the Texas suitcase if you have straps on your poles its perfect.
  14. Does it matter that they are $1k a pair? Or future skis? If you can ski, you can ski on a 2x4 and have fun and make it look good. Though I do agree with you that most people in Europe are on pretty skinny skis, it seemed to me that most were on skis 80-100mm range and most of them shredded on them. Even skiing groomers in Chaminox was a bit scary, they are steep and fast as hell! All of that being said, I cant wait to get back!
  15. Even includes Blue Mountain, thats sweet!
  16. Tuned in for recommendations for next year!
  17. Some trip facts Some quotes from the trip. “I’d come back for the food and the wine, but the skiing sucked” “I got some white stuff on my face again” “It’s still snowing” “Is it snowing?” “I should have drank more water and less wine” “Raclette is ready!” Quote from the guide (read these in a broken French accent) “I propose a coffee” “Snow is thin, stay safe” “Im not sure what’s ahead, but it’s ok I have rope” At a minimum we have bought 4 bottles of wine per day, not including what we had after skiing and or with dinner. All bottles were under 10€. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Three of 6 for the night, our limit was under 7€ per bottle Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I’d say it’s mostly skiers, but i also think at most bigger mountains it’s mostly skiers. Snowboarders are tourists, it’s a horribly inefficient way to travel. I think you’re right on your assumption though. The snowboarders here are on huge swallow tail boards and just rip powder. I was next to an old dude on the bus who’s board was as long as my skis, my skis are 192cm and he was much shorter than I. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Last day at Grands Montets, and more face shots were had. Legs were feeling a bit tired but the snow was deep and we headed back to the honey hole for 5 hot laps, ended the day with a beer, hot wine and fondue at a little hut off trail. I didn’t pull out my phone at all today but we got some great go-amateur video that may or may not get edited. It’s still nuking in town but unfortunately we fly out tomorrow morning. This was a trip for the books for all of us for sure, can’t wait to come back! Off trail beer/wine hut Skiing the road back to the bus to the bar Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
