  1. Very cool, I was in Banff in 1985 and the only 3 options were Noriquay , Sunshine and Louise. It hadn’t snowed for two weeks so we didn’t hit Noriquay . Sunshine was getting some snow due to the Chinook winds. Always wondered what Noriquay would be like. Thanks for the stoke! We Heliskied one day which was awsome, we flew up the Srpray river valley, they picked us up in Canmore behind a restaurant. The town was a really sleepy place then but now looks pretty upscale now.
  2. Winter…..better late than never. Blue looks like 3-5”
  3. Yeah I was behind a Patroller friend one night at Camelback we were cooking pretty good . The wind was blowing steady which sent the new snow pretty far away from the guns. The technique was stay upwind close to the guns at least that was the plan on paper. Until one gun malfunctioned and put out water. I can still see him flying through the air and his skis stuck to the ground. Fortunately I jumped over the bad spot. He was hurting but nothing broken. Glad your foot is better.
  4. F lift ski on till I left. B lift 2 minutes. Maybe it’s longer now but I got there early only skied for a little while. Snow was extremely variable, kept the legs stiff to prevent front seat/ backseat.
  5. Fun couple hours this morning getting glazed by the snow guns. Nice to be scraping my goggles off again and brushing the chair cushions before sitting down. Any other season I’d be whining about inconvenience. Got to use my Head gloves thumb feature, perfect for cleaning of the lenses. Sasquatch was nice but with one of the carpet slopes was closed so I couldn’t lap Sasquatch. Cool wave clouds , mentally surfing them.
  6. I’m thinking next Saturday if you’re around.
  7. I wonder if ticket prices will hit $400.00 lol
  8. Maybe tonight, I have to think the cross over is melted out so lapping Sasquatch is no longer an option.
  9. I was going to take a couple runs last night before picking up my kid but forgot I took my pass out of my jacket when I went to Elk ,so I had a Beer at Trails end instead . I was surprised when I pulled in that the coverage looked pretty good considering this weeks flame thrower . Are there bumps on Grizzly yet ?
  10. @saltyant Do you like Yoohoos in bottles or cans ?
  11. I need 3 confused emojis but there’s only one button.
  12. Ugg “Little Gap” flashback. I can remember driving through 9” of snow to get my skis out of the instructors shack to ski elsewhere because they closed early that year. I have to believe they’re looking at cold in the forecast and a couple storm signals coming up . Hopefully the base hangs in till then.
  13. Thanks Planning on last day festivities for sure. Hopefully the weather gets cold soon if not I have a bad feeling about spring or the lack of it. I forget which year but similar to this weather we had a really cold April and May. I have some outside work to get ready for flying season and want to get it done before the good weather kicks in. Last week of April to the first week of May is usually prime time.
  14. Sounds good, been pre occupied with a sick family member. I was waiting for a quality day at Blue. Planning on some mid week days once it’s cold enough for some snow making weather. I’m old and value quality vs quantity . I’ve done my time on ice coast trails.
  15. Don’t forget the $40 for parking savings 🙃

Arrived 8:15 47° and cloudy. Started on Delaware and worked our way from left to right. Everything was groomed and skiing nicely. Lackawanna was the only trail with bumps and they were pretty nice. Hit it a bunch. Went in for Beer and food and when we came back out someone turned up the thermostat. 57° . We skied the Pine tree shadows as much as possible but coming of Wissahickon to sunny Snowbowl was like jamming on the brakes. One last run on Lackawanna was a workout, all the slough piled up in the troughs and stopped my momentum. Nice day all in all.
  17. Be sure to hit “ Juggernaut “ the gnarliest trail ever.
  18. Tonight I found a way to lap Sasquatch , carry speed and arc around the last light pole ( check for traffic off E lift) get some air across lower Brown Bear and go between two pine trees. Ends up above the carpet on Teddy Bear , they blew a crossover under E lift that makes it easy to get to Sun Bear back to F lift. I got my laps down to 8 minutes gate to gate. Nice night , one run on Grizzly bumps. I worked on setting a small bump line on lower part of Sasquatch and lapped it all night. 6:45 close
  19. No , A and B do . Getting to Sasquatch and Grizzly takes a bit of uphill to get to . Getting back to F lift from Sasquatch is not easy either without using A or B then using F again. Kind of a pain as F unloads on a knoll .
  20. Fun Friday Screaming Pizza 3:45 lot filling up… B lift backed up headed to F lift… Ski on till 5:45 Tonights little savages , 3 middle school girls screaming hysterically coming down Grizzly and turned under the lift, at first I thought they were out of control but they were doing fine just having a blast. Grizzly bumps and some on Sasquatch were soft and fun . Timberline had a sea of Oak leaves.
