Trust me, and everybody else that skied razors Saturday..... you were better off not skiing it. Very nice conditions an Sunday.

^^^^. Ohhhh, thats what they were doing. I thought they were stashing beers in the woods. Hiking back to razors makes more sense.

Barb, things look pretty similar back in PA too. I was thinking of throwing something on the grill, but not sure i want to spend all the time to dig it out. i get such a kick out of reading FB comments on how bad the roads are around here, and that they are not immediately cleared of snow. I would love to have our area buried under a few feet of snow, except it would probably shut everything down for weeks. Keeps the pics coming. Please.

Did they open razors back up after the race team had thier way with it? You know, to give the local ambulances something to do. They shouldnt have opened razors at all. That was really horrible, thankfully it was flat and not all rutted up. Everything else skied pretty well, which after yesterdays conditions was a nice turn around.

Sidewinder is open. Oddly enough a trail that was just groomed and opened for the season is the run of the day.

Not so nice. Ridiculously firm. Suns coming up. Sidewinders being groomed.

Oh...i got it. what is (2) zero degree runs.......

Skied with a friend today at Frost. it was cold. There was a little Bue-like grooming on some trails, a little out of the norm, but maybe from grooming fresh man made. really firm snow on one park glade, not tons of coverage. Challange glade ok, really firm snow in the morning but once some traffic got on it it loosened up a little. Small area of ungroomed on the side of Challenge, big bumps, some nice snow on top of some ice. Fun. Saw C1 from the lift. Very small section of E-glade skiable, but the snow was decent. Telstar or Solitude (1 of them) and Floyds closed for the race team. GSS, Floyds is wickedly narrow at the top, and it kind of looks like they are trying to make it steeper by blowing and 8' base on it. Odd. Went in for a coffee and to warm up some. Challenge glade was a little softer by now. Slopes were getting just a little scraped in a few spots. Saw C1 from the lift again. Floyds was open, but skied off pretty well. There is just a tiny bit of skiable area on the Elevator, just kind of off the side. Snow was ok, but if you mess up, it will be an uncomfortable ride down to the bottom, that would surely destroy your high priced pants. No lift lines. Called it a day around 1.

Lower E-glade and the bottom of the Elevator paint a pretty ugly picture as to how the best stuff that JF has to offer is being taken care of.

There is some talk of a winter storm for the 6th-8th. Temps will be right, so lets see what happens.

something i just bumped into.....place up here Pocono snowmobile rentals charges $50 for a half hour for a snowmobile. $60 if you bring a passenger. When you look at it that way, an all day lift ticket to Blue kinda looks like a bargain.

i will be there. been three days in a row and still havent gotten me a damn waffle. hoping 4th time is a charm.

Snowmaking is expensive. lets face it, we live on the east coast, and our ski season is short. I know for a fact most businesses like to turn a profit, so things need to be priced accordingly. This is a huge money making week for the resorts, and from what we have seen at Blue, so far this isnt panning out to well. Most days this week have had some type of weather issue that kept crowds down a bit. Blue probably has half the trails open. If they were charging half price this week, words could not describe what a zoo it would be. There are not enough trails open for the amount of people reduced ticket rates will bring in.
