I signed up for the waitlist so i could get an indy add on pass on top of a bear creek pass.

They auto charged me for the full indy pass. I never was able to login and choose the pass I wanted once my spot on the wait list was up. I cannot turn on or off any auto renew options. their support admits that when i log in, the website does not look like it should and there are fields missing. they offer to turn off auto renew on their end (which i never enabled, I haven't had indy since 2022) then went silent when and I haven't heard back from them for over a week. Kind of screwed me over because I was stuck in limbo and missed the window to gear the bear spring three pack.

I did a chargeback with my credit card, and supplied them with the emails from indy and they said they will give indy a chance to respond but would most likely side with me.

That is frustrating. I am surprised that they are unable to help transition that to an add on? I love Indy and what they stand for but I wish some of the things, like the renewal, were a little more user friendly.

Day 25

Enjoyed my first day as a 26-27 Camelback season pass holder yesterday - only the second time I have gotten a single mountain pass (did Blue in 2018-19). Have been to CBK very seldom since 2018 though I went here regularly in my pre-pass days thanks to Pocono Ski And Ride Cards and 4th-5th grade PA Ski Passports, and I did start my season here this year as they opened first in PA.   No line whatsoever in the pass holder lanes so I got a satisfying 20 runs in 3.5 hrs.

No bare spots to be seen on the 32 open runs (Basilisk is not open despite what it says on the site and view from lift showed it clearly impassable and almost certainly done for the season). There were some icy patches on Pharaoh but really nowhere else.

The couple open ungroomed trails were still pretty smooth so they do not seem to have been ungroomed for long. Was bummed that Marge’s closed before I got to ski it.

Would get dull for me only having a single mtn pass to CBK or any single PA Mtn but it will make a nice addition to my Indy+ Pass for the coming year. Will also try to get some final (at least for a while) Epic experiences in over the next 6 weeks)

@GrilledSteezeSandwich This is grate! Maybe you and Ski2Live can barter buddy passes so you can ski at Camelback and high five a camel and drink half of a hot cocoa, and then Ski2Live can come to Blue Mountain the true mountain and drink Yoo-Hoos in the parking lot. That would be sickbird. Then we can all plan a trip to Verbier with Matt Edge and reserve a room with 5 bunk beds, and maybe we can also invite VT Mark so he can use his negotiation skills if we need to buy personal nukes with bitcoin.

I’m guessing VTMark is prob working as a mercenary over in Iran

Correction - you have to have a season pass elsewhere (Indy counts) to get that $25 ticket at CBK

Where did you see this?

I didn't see anything on their website.

From past experience this deal can only be used once per person

I checked and the IndyPass is valid for the $25.00 deal. Might head there tomorrow for a few hours.

Skied Camelback today from 10:00 to 1:00. Conditions were surprisingly very good. They blew snow and mixed in in with the frozen granular. Only the Black Bear 6 side was open. All trails except for Basalisk, They were blowing snow on the Stevenson side. Liftlines were two to three minutes. Not bad for $25.

FYI for any pass holders - they are no longer doing first tracks this season - lifts open at 9

It's actually called First Tra×. @RootDKJput on a filter to try to stop me from calling them First Tra× but I continue to succeed. One time I even posted First Tra× in a word picture and he can't word pictures. @SallyCat First Tra× talk.

@GrilledSteezeSandwich this is grate! Now there's an app that @Ski2Live Live2Ski can use to analyze detailed quantitative metrics to assess the cost effectiveness of purchasing a season pass.

Another ingenious idea is that ski goggles with a HUD to show Ski2Live how much money each nanosecond on the snow is costing in real time would be sick bird!

This is actually a pretty interesting feature. I enjoy data like this.

I think I got my money’s worth out of the Blue pass. Sometimes it’s nice being an old geezer.
