unless they're trying to mess with people or waiting until the last minute, looks like itll be 699. i don't see anything about a $50 gc this year so no guarantees there.

also, what in the fuck is the deal with the grateful dead and it permeating into everything skiing. is this new or has it been a thing? no i do not want a $44 dancing bear long sleeve with a (imo) weird color scheme to go with my purchase. i will definitely pass on a THIRTY TWO dollar beanie with what looks like a patch slapped on the cuff.

Unfortunately, the game has changed since we were kids. Here is a comparison of how pro snowboarders looked when I was a kid vs today 🤮🤢

Most likely 499 like last year - Apply the $50 digital coupon from last year's purchase - $449 - Really good deal compared to what the public pays for daily lift tickets.  Given the improvements at The Hump, we are considering a 149-triple ticket - 3 Times will be enough.

yep - my typo - 699

Bob the Liftie would like a word with you. I really haven't seen much of him this year. Is he still at Blue?

I never really got the grateful dead thing. Not really my kind of music.

That being said, there is a guy in Gladwyne (super fancy suburb) who carved a dead tree into a Dead tree. It sticks out like a sore thumb from the 6 million dollar mansions around it but good for that guy. Impressive skills.

I’m guessing you’ve seen the tree carver property outside villlanova’s campus? As a kid we drove by that on our way to basketball games at the pavilion

He was there only a couple weeks in the beginning in the season and then took a job somewhere warm. I remember saying that's a bummer for ski season. He does 3-4 month FEMA deployments.

There no chance they make it to May unless they’re going Kmart superstar style on a trail that gets minimal sunlight and traffic a day

I figured they'd close with maybe limited weekend sessions on a single trail to try and make it. Think they're going for something off the Stevenson.

Yeah, I don't think they'll make it either unless they straight up push a big pile together and don't let anyone on it between mid March and May 1st.

Is that the “there you go” guy. If so I miss him.

The base is almost as tall as the snowguns. They will make it well into april at least. I got myself a pass too. Way too cheap not to. plus indy screwed me big time and really de-railed my plans for the year.

I signed up for the waitlist so i could get an indy add on pass on top of a bear creek pass.

They auto charged me for the full indy pass. I never was able to login and choose the pass I wanted once my spot on the wait list was up. I cannot turn on or off any auto renew options. their support admits that when i log in, the website does not look like it should and there are fields missing. they offer to turn off auto renew on their end (which i never enabled, I haven't had indy since 2022) then went silent when and I haven't heard back from them for over a week. Kind of screwed me over because I was stuck in limbo and missed the window to gear the bear spring three pack.

I did a chargeback with my credit card, and supplied them with the emails from indy and they said they will give indy a chance to respond but would most likely side with me.

Cliffhanger as alanis morrisette would say..you you you oughta know.

Yeah, they only did the deep glacier on Cliffhanger and Nile Mile, so the double black diamond sign is a dead giveaway.

Those April and May weekends sound nice, but I wonder how crazy it will be when they're down to 2 trails?

Not as crazy as ski areas are early season when there’s only a few ways down.

My guess is bump city in maybe a little over and hour.  should be good.

Smart move Camelback seems to be making to increase odds of long season on East side - having only West side open on weekdays with iffy weather  and planning to re-open East side for weekend

Would be a good move for long season reserving East side for weekends going forward. Can’t be many mid week skiers this late in season. Hotel guests likely upset though - gotta get on a bus to ski
