1. Maybe my bindings will arrive some day so I can join you on the uphill next time. Fun day; it was nice skiing somewhere else for a change of pace, especially with the more sustained vert. @GSSucks new skis are fun, mine felt much better after a little love from a gummy stone near the tails, and I still hate the new york thruway.
2. Hope you requested the @AtomicSkier special base grind so they're nice and fast with edges that will slice your gloves if you look at em wrong. 0.5° base 3° side or GTFO.
3. You're creating a false equivalency here though. One of those two sides has a thought process that is at least mostly based in reality. The other preemptively refused to acknowledge the results of an election because its leader said it was rigged before it even happened. While I agree with you that there's probably a lot more people who share 75% of the same stances occupying a large portion of the middle ground here, the far left in this country generally falls pretty well in line with what a lot of europe already has (strong workers' rights, equal access to affordable if not universal government-sponsored healthcare, a look toward a greener future on energy policy), the far right at this point much more closely aligns with what was going on in europe pre-WWII. One of those two ideologies likely much more closely lines up with what that hypothetical 75% in the middle actually wants. Not sure why I'm even posting this; arguing about politics on the internet is just asking for flaming pitchforks...
4. 1. it's the new york post. the first "related article" i see in their sidebar is about kanye getting a divorce. sure, he did post up in jackson hole to record an album and i think i've seen pictures of him on skis, but i wouldn't call that related 2. that article doesn't say anything more than hunter's own PR, aside from adding Greene County positive case numbers (sort of). definitely more going on behind the scenes that hasn't been confirmed yet, but hey it's a weird ski season and most of us are still getting our laps in. can't ask for too much more than that right now.
5. Just read the T&C, looks like you're supposed to present the original garment hang tag and receipt to redeem it at the window? Curious how strict they're being with that. Only place on the east that's doing it is jay, so not suuuuper helpful for me personally at the moment, but cool if somebody here can take advantage!
6. I did prior to my post. My point still stands. Nowhere does it say "patrollers got COVID".
7. Got a source for that? I've seen a lot of conjecture thrown around, and I don't think that's exactly what Hunter's official statement on the matter says.
8. You lose the internet and @GrilledSteezeSandwich will shame you forever?

10. Soak, eh? You really did study up on your Mormon trivia, huh? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
11. Your best bet might be an Epic Day pass for 4-5 days to do PC/Canyons and I think you can do snowbasin on it too? Then add in a day at DV if you’re feeling bougie. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
12. Then you’ll love DV and PC. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
13. High traverse at Alta lol. That is not RTM-land. Not trying to gatekeep good skiing, but the locals do not take kindly to people mucking up that traverse. Salty, if you want velvety groomers, DV and PC/Canyons should be top of your list. Brighton has some good groomers in the middle of the mountain but is definitely more the kinda place where it’s super easy to find some fun but “smaller” off trail stuff right off the groomers. Also stuff out the gate off milli is great but know what you’re getting into. It’s out of bounds and you can end up in trouble real quick if you take the wrong turn. Snow basin should also be up on your list. Olympic downhill course from the SLC olympics with an awesome old tin can gondola to get to the top. Wide groomers of varying pitches, good snowmaking where needed, snowbird-lite off piste terrain like JP, middle bow circque, and the strawberry chutes easily accessed from high speed gondolas, and deer valley esque facilities like toast21602 ’s favorite golden toilets. The burgers up top at the JP lodge are some of the best I’ve had with an amazing view, too. Stay in Ogden for cheap, or eden/liberty/Huntsville for closer access to basin and powder mtn. PowMow is fun, but don’t go there to ski the groomers, and if you go there on a day with fresh snow, demo some wider skis. It’s kinda flat, comparatively, so wider skis will allow you to have a much more fun time off trail than the RTMs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

15. I guess we missed everyone today? Got on snow at like 8:05, skied til about 10:30. Paradise was best snow of the day again. Whatever they’re doing on paradise, please do that everywhere else. Like 1-2” of soft chalky groomed snow to start the day, and there couldn’t have been more than 10 people down it before us. Everything else was pretty good, pumptrack on the ride side of tuts needs to get rutted in a little more though. Hopefully back up Wednesday AM before I have to head back home to start building my ark. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
16. Edgie wedgie for the win! Got there a little later than I’d like, but for about 2 hours in this morning. Paradise was for sure best conditions, but the freeride word tour line is starting to get worked in nicely. Good little 3-4 hit line. Came back up in the afternoon for a little bit of school hill action. Went to summit to get a season pass and just skied up there. Unfortunately there were no magic carpet rides to be had, because someone didn’t show for their shift... got a little bit of extra workout today carrying a 30lb weight up hill repeatedly. First day on real skis, lasted about 1.5 hours with a break to explain how snowguns work, and she only fell twice, and wants to go back tomorrow. I’ll count it as a success! 18. What’d you skin up? I have another pair of bindings on the way that should get my touring rig back in business finally. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
19. You can still do that at the gas station at the bottom of the access road at blue Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

21. To JFDan’s point, I’ve gotta give props to blue for today. Not sure what prompted it but rose commented that COVID aside, it feels like a different vibe this year. Lifties seemed generally friendlier today, ski patrol was chatting pleasantly with people at the top of challenge when they opened it, pointing out spots where grooming was maybe a little subpar, said to take it easy first run due to fog, etc. it was generally the most pleasant interactions I’ve had there in a long time. Also, grooming as actually way better than the patroller led me to believe, and they did a great job managing people in the lines, too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
22. right, i don't think anyone's overly concerned with distancing on trail... it's in the lift lines where there could be issues
23. Look at it this way. After the snow settles a bit, you’ve now got 3’ of base to work with for the next storm. Everything is covered, so a 6-8” day is gonna ski awesome and not be miserable on the up. Get after it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
24. Likewise. They said I was all good, but my pass didn’t work initially. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
