  1. Had a feeling it was in the Pocono Country place development. Just looked it up and it is. There are quite a few homes in that development listed below 100k. When we were looking our realtor told us to avoid that area like the plague. After reading some articles in the Pocono record we found out there were shootings, stabbing, gang activity. Overall a bad place.

    SP pricing is out

$359 for my season pass to Loveland and it enables me to buy 2 $17.00 youth lift tickets per day. May try a different mountain next year for a season pass but Loveland is close and I can sneak up there while the boys are in school. Didn't know Elk and Blue where so pricey. Makes JFBB seem pretty cheap ($499 last year).
  3. Scored David a pair of $89 last season boots from Boulder ski deals. If anyone here has smallish feet I have his last year's size 10's I'd be willing to let go of super cheap.
  4. Thanks for posting this, I think I am going to pick one up. I got a season pass to Loveland back in May for $359 (so cheap). It allows me to buy 2 $17 youth passes per day. I am also going to get the 6th grade passport for Stephen. Its only $99 and you get 4 free days to all Colorado resorts. Since I have neighbors who have places at Winter Park and Breckenridge, I am sure they will get used. Can't wait for ski season out here. Gotta start amping up my workouts to get my legs in shape for the longer trails. Cooper mountain has youth season passes for $104. 26 trails (more than jf) not a bad deal if you have kids.
  5. That looks like a nice area. Do you go see the Sequoia trees? That is definitely on my list of things to do. Do you camp in tents? Guess I am more of a plastic camper since I enjoy the comfort of my motorhome.
  6. Anyone who thinks they should move, should move. If you are not happy over there then do something about it. This
  7. nice Timeless, looks like your kids had a great day.
  8. What else can I say...you're the man. Love the pictures.
  9. Whew, royal arch is challenging. Felt completely out of shape. Especially when the 20 something group of girls passes me almost running and having a conversation, not even breathing hard. View from the top is great!Kind of a traffic jam to get up to the top, had to wait a good 10 minutes until a few came down. Hopefully after a few more weeks my lungs will be used to the altitude. At least that is what I'm telling myself as to why I was moving so slow today.
  10. I just got off the website and had it narrowed down to sanitas or royal arch. I've done sanitas (not to the top though) so I'll take your advice. I gotta get some better shoes. Only have running sneakers but they will have to do for tomorrow. You have my cell, call or text me anytime to go on a hike.
  11. Congrats on the job Jordan. Maybe we can finally meet up next season at Loveland. I'm sure I can't keep up with you but I bet my youngest can, he'll ski anything. By the way Colorado is awesome! Hiked Chautauqua myself today after asking my son the last 4 days to go with me. Left him home. Gotta check boulder osmp website to see where to hike tomorrow.
  12. Damn Jordan you are in some great shape. Love the pics.
  13. who are you kidding....there are no nice parts of Jersey
  14. Great pics Jordan! 28 days til I move (not that I'm counting or anything). It seems like its taking forever, kind of like that scene in Poltergeist where she's running down the hallway but it keeps getting longer and longer.
  15. I agree with Glenn. Don't buy boots over the internet. Your wife must have great balance. Usually the first few times on a snowboard are miserable. It would be nice to have another female snowboarder on the board (who is in my age bracket).
  16. That price has to be on top of the season pass or else its way too cheap. JFBB race program is $900 if you buy in the early season. This includes an all access season pass.
  17. Timeless, keep posting in this thread when you make your decision. My son also soon to be 11 (next week), also riding 128's needs a new pair. After 2 seasons riding them for the race team they are beat to hell. Not sure what to get him since we will now be riding out west.
  18. What stays open later than Loveland? I thought they were pretty much the last to close, kind of like Big Boulder
  19. Thanks for taking the time to post this. I'd much rather read this than a flame war.
  20. Going to Colorado April 16-25th. As long as this cortizone shot I got today starts working, my season is not over.
  21. That website is hysterical, thanks for the laugh.
  22. My brother was seriously injured several years ago in his first season of learning how to snowboard. I was not with him on the trail, I was with the boys. I heard my name being called to come to the first aid station. To this day, he still does not remember how he fell or what happened. He kept the helmet, its totally cracked in the front. He was airlifted to Lehigh (I think) and stayed there for about a week. His eyes were both black and blue and he looked completely nasty. If he wasn't wearing a helmet, I'd say he would be dead or a vegetable. I never ride without my helmet and neither do my kids.
  23. Pics are beautiful! I love seeing those deep blue skies. I can't wait to move there...3 months and counting.
  24. See, now this is a classic example of why mods should be allowed to get rep'd.
