We definitely need something this warm week is going to be a shot to the bases and I don't think many PA resorts are going to be to enthusiastic of the idea of blowing snow if they get the temps.

Wife and I were there from about 9-2 on Sunday as well and thought overall conditions were pretty good. Groomer's doing a pretty good job. Sasquatch had really good snow on it and was alot of fun. Extreme was starting to get icy after a couple runs on skiers left but right still had some decent coverage. The bumps on grizzly were deep troughs and the couple times I went down it I was definitely weaving through people laying in the troughs. Timberline was nice and I went down the park which was interesting. I didn't realize the last hit on the trail had such a large drop off and I got some unexpected air lol. Fun time definitely needed to get some more time on the snow working the boots in.

You guys get killed by the wind there as well. Most of the goods at cb were just decimated by the wind.

I'm torn on doing Sno or JF sunday.

Hope it keeps up just wish there was more off-piste stuff around here to hit if we end up with the 10-12 inches.

Same here. First time I ever skied a black & double black was with guys from this forum. Great resources and helping me pick up knowledge on a sport I love now of which I knew nothing about.

Shoveling is going to suck with that heavy slush layer under it. Hoping the pocs are fairing better with the light fluffy stuff.

Might make this the weekend to shoot up Sunday given the potential snow fall.

My experiences are that its generally the same unless your on the beginner side of the mountain then Saturday is significantly more crowded. I always recommend Sunday because you can do the buy one get one from Lukoil coupons. Not that i've had a chance to use one this year.......

Everything looks so damn varied that I don't know what the f to follow. Really wish I could convince the wife to get in the car tonight and start driving north. Places like Magic and Mount Snow are supposed to be in the heart of it in most models.

I was there Saturday and the conditions were good early but toward the end of the day the snow on top was pushed off and some parts became ice rinks. Tree's off of park were still good except for the bottom which was all rocks.

Is that the first clear picture you've ever been able to take. Always feel like your skiing in blizzard/fog conditions. Beautiful shot.

Only been to Shawnee once after a thaw. Is it just wilderness trails or cut glades? Guessing they need a good deal of natural to get them in shape.

Glad your ski's are working out for you. Its a mess of ice out there now. Once people ski off the top layer its sliding the whole way down.

I'm on 80 and can't really tell. Accident haven't moved in 20 argh!!! What I get for trying not to have to drive up tomorrow lol.

Ya that's on the clearance stuff. They do one on the non-clearance stuff in like March.
