  1. Um, Ski Patrol was/is a great movie.
  2. Can you explain to me why this would be good news? Honestly I don't know anything about NASTAR and what role the pacesetter plays.
  3. So I am supposed to have a half day at work tonight and was thinking of hitting Blue afterwards. By the time I take care of a few things around Philly, get home and grab my stuff, I won't be at Blue until about 4:00. Who's gonna be at the True tonight?
  4. Not that I think it will happen, but crap, I better get my ski's over to Buckman's.
  5. And just think, Doug was saying his new place was an UPGRADE.
  6. I believe that I have seen that helmet on Tramdock several times.
  7. +1 for Snowbasin I would check out Solitude as well. Honeycomb Canyon @ Solitude is very nice and has some stashes if you traverse far enough. Plus it returns to a lift so you don't have to hike out.

    Utah

You will LOVE Snowbasin. I was there on Friday, 3/6 (2 days after supposedly 4" fell, more like 8" or 9") and it was still great. Everyone in SLC told us that Snowbasin is the place to go when they get fresh snow.
  9. I will hit it up once back from Utah. A mini PASR day sounds like a good time!
  10. Don't forget to roll down the windows!
  11. I will be there next Wednesday March 4th!!!!!!
  12. I will be in Utah on the 7th ... no go for me.
  13. Hope it keeps up. I'll be out there first week of March.
  14. I wish I didn't have debt so I could do what you do.
  15. For 100 bones I'll definitely buy it. Let me know if Zaldon doesn't.
  16. A lot of places out west have pay parking due to the premium on flat ground. When you need to fit Condos, Townhomes, Hotels, etc. in a tight valley/canyon you need to maximize the use of your space. When those resorts shell out the cash to build parking garages that are maintained of course they are going to charge for parking. If Blue was to maintain/improve their lots so you could see the money actually going somewhere, maybe it would be worth it to not have boots and other gear covered in mud. But my guess is that would not happen.
  17. Well the purchase didn't pan out (probably better for my wallet) so I am shooting for opening Saturday morning until the lines become unreal.
  18. I am going to try and hit Blue either Sat or Sun depending on how a certain purchase does or does not pan out. This will be 2 weekends in a row skiing the true mountain ... I don't think that I have ever done that.

    Ski boot help

We are going to be hitting Alta, Snowbird, Snow Basin, and Powder Mountain. We are staying in Sandy, UT and driving to a different mountain each day. I think that I will stop by this week.

    Ski boot help

With my right foot its the outer edge of my foot starting with my pinky toe running down the side of my foot. With both feet its the actual soles of my feet. I have started looking for some fitters in SLC. If only there was a www.utskiandride.com that would be great resource to find a local shop. Hmm, I just checked out zapz ... seems like a nice place to start. I think I may order some. I will try unbuckling the bottom 2 buckles while on the lift this Saturday in between runs and see how that goes.

    Ski boot help

The discomfort/numbness was there before the hotronics. It is something that I have dealt with for a while (along with the cold feet) and am finally trying to do something about it. I put the hotronics in myself and you are correct the wire runs under the footbed that came with the hotronics that has a groove on the bottom for the wire. I also think that part of my problem is that my right foot is slightly larger than my left. I have been reading about the heat molded liners that you can get yourself, but am leery of doing something like that myself. I should just man up and spend the money at a surefoot when I am in Utah

    Ski boot help

I have an issue with my ski boots and I would like to get it taken care of before I head to Utah 3/3 - 3/8. My feet have always been cold, so to help with that I have (on the recommendation of A-Jeff) purchased the Hotronics M4. I used them last weekend and they worked well. However, my right foot almost always goes numb or is in a lot of pain. My left foot is uncomfortable, but not near as bad as my right. So I have done some Google searches and of course Surefoot comes up, but not a viable option due to location ( and due to my Utah trip $$$). So I am trying to see what my other options are in the area. I live 5 mins from Buckman's in Montgomeryville so that would be my first option, but am willing to drive farther to be able to see someone that knows what they are doing. Thanks to anyone that can offer some advice.
  23. A reminder that even though this is "just the Internet" there can be repercussions. Reminds me of stories on some of the Mazda sites that I am a member of where car dealers go on the site to find people that race/mod their vehicles and then void warrantees.
