Sitting here staring out the window at the sparkles... Schools should have at least been delayed. Roads were slippery early. 1

RidgeRacer Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 Pulling up the rear with an evening session. It's cold, not crowded. Snows good but not good enough to be on the greeners. Here with my kid who preaches about how much better Blue is than jfbb... According to her "frost is for the weak". 3

Nice to know your kids observations are spot on!!!!
indiggio Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 According to her "frost is for the weak". Sounds like you have a winner there! Get her into BMR already.
RidgeRacer Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 To clarify, we both enjoy Jack Frost and don't think it's any better or worse than blue. I just thought it was funny that she referenced The Karate Kid when talking to one of her friends. No diss was intended at frost or people who ski there.
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 If you thought Jack Frost was better than Blue, you'd still have a season pass there.
RidgeRacer Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 I enjoy both mountains. They each offer something different. One doesn't always have to be better than the other. Blue works for me because I can ski at night after work.
phillycore Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 Here we go with the old Blue vs JF bullshit again.... 1
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 Here we go with the old Blue vs JF bullshit again.... It's never really been much of a debate.
Justo8484 Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 It's never really been much of a debate.they both have their advantages. Frost's advantages, in my opinion, become less relevant when we have continually cold temps and natural snowfall, since the snow quality at blue stays pretty good. It's when temps are marginal at blue and frost is still colder/getting snow that they get the nod from me. That's the main reason I haven't been there much the past two years: blue has had good snow. Location, hours, crowds, etc all also come into play for a lot of people, so yeah, it's always going to be a debate, and not everyone's answer will be the same as yours, for varying reasons that may or may not be relevant to you. 1
GSSucks Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 Ski Sawmill has the best bumps in PA hands down, no debate necessary Glen Plake told me. If you dont knowwwww now you knowwwww. 2
