Today might be the first day with over 30,000 new cases in the US.  3051 new cases for California and 3556 for Texas. 1097 new cases for Georgia, 1188 for Tennessee, 1083 for SC and 1150 for NC...only about 700 new deaths for the US but in the coming weeks deaths will sadly catch up with the new cases.

Expect the stock market to crash on Monday...so many factors at play...evictions are beginning in many areas, retail sales projections not as high, stores and restaurants and casinos in many states are closing back down, tourism looks worse than expected after some optimistic hope...

The article Toast post from June 15 about how America is done with Covid-19 but Covid 19 is not done with America would be even more relevant if we had data from the last five days...anyway big Trump rally today in Oklahoma..I saw an interview with an old fat lady outside the arena and she said she understands the risks but really wants to see Donald trump.   You can see him on TV...

im Still confused how covid19 doesn’t affect rioters and looters

As long as the rioters and looters wear masks and practice social distancing their exposure should be minimized.  A quick grab and go at the local Target or REI store less than hanging out with 20 people in a kitchen eating bday cake or shoulder to shoulder at a bar singing sweet Caroline or the latest T Pain song.  For me semi crowded WaWas are my limit....don’t hold the door open for me please.   Only benefits for me are no evening and weekend appointments and can wear the same shirt three days in a row @Benm style.

Politics aside I saw him live in 2016 as I had a chance to go both times so I took advantage of it. Not saying I agreed with everything. Mainly wanted to experience it. It's definitely different being there. Saw John McCain and Sarah Palin in 2008 too. Again politics aside, Sarah Palin (love her or hate her) was pretty hot.

That said the Tulsa rally is a stupid move in my opinion. It's not the time.

But they weren’t social distancing.  There were literally thousands of people together and somehow they don’t get the virus.  While I believe Covid—19 is real, seems very suspicious that the cities that promoted rioting and looting somehow are immune to the virus, but everyone else is at risk

How do you know they didn’t get the virus.  The media isn’t saying how people were infected except in rare stories like the Jacksonville group of friends who all got infected on a bar night out.

We haven’t seen anything in the news about them getting the virus, but plenty of news about Florida, etc.  seems weird that the people who spent the  past 3 weeks in groups of tens of thousands are immune, but people going to bars with 20 people get sick

Florida is over 4000 today. Terrible

Wow just wow...what do you think next week 6,000...7,000 daily...you think maybe the governor would do something.  Just shows how fast this spreads when no precautions are in place.  With all of the cooperation amoung PA residents it took like two months plus to get our numbers down enough to partially reopen.  They’re on a runaway train right now.

Amazing what masks will do.

So there is no need for social distancing as long as we wear masks?

I don’t think I have ever said that.

A group of people wearing masks are less at risk than a group of people not wearing masks - regardless of size. Physical distancing is even more important when nobody wears masks because of airborne droplets. Both masks and physical distancing together is most effective.

I’m trying my hardest to take covid seriously, but each day that goes by makes it harder and harder to take seriously with the hypocrisy of our leaders.
