curious to know what is different between last year and this year. I don't have the time to compare lol

Here was last year. Base is up about $40 and the regular about $70. If Aspen or Jackson were on the session pass that would be a no brainer for me. But alas....

I considered ikon instead of Blue, but not sure I'd get my money's worth.   Blue, indy, and Bohemia pass for me again next year

for me the Ikon works out to be "kinda OK."  If Camel does go into April, it should pay off well.   i think 5 days at JH, Gary paid like $1100, with Jays friend and family tickets.  Pre purchase would have been a better deal but still probably $800+.  my ikon was $1250, i think, right now i have 1 camel, 5 JH, planning on 1 stratton, 1 Killy, 1 Bush, (1 other day on that trip, but might not be ikon), i got $125 off my lodging at JH, and hopefully max days at the Camel superstar.

the way you get around, it would pay off, but its not going to be as cheap as the indy for sure.

Every year I say maybe I’ll consider it but realistically it doesn’t work for me. Again if the session pass included places that I want to get back to (like Jackson or snowbird) or places I want to go like aspen then I would have purchased it already. Obviously I'm doing blue and the Power Pass again (Snowbowl, purgatory, Brian head). Maybe I’ll try some of the other places on it idk.

yeah, the extra cost isn't as much of an issue - I may do it next year (2027-2028) and try to make a point to go somewhere out west to use it.  It would be cool to combine Indy and Ikon trips too - I could add in the VT and ME mountains pretty easily to my trips and even Loon if it's a weekday.

On another note, looking at the mountain list, there are a couple midwest Indy mountains now on Ikon.  Not that it makes a big difference for me, but Snowriver was one of the ones I had considered hitting if I spend more time out in Michigan.  Thats now on Ikon for next year, as well as Lutsen (probably wouldn't go to MN, but looks like a cool place) and Granite Peak in WI.

Also, Ikon, at least for the resorts i have been to, is all direct access.  Everybody should know by now im a big convenience guy, hate standing in line, so not going to a ticket window, or trying to find discount tix on the cheap is a win in my book too.

Indy has the window pickup issue. That being said, I have walked up to an open window every time that I have redeemed mine on the walk to the hill - likely because these are much smaller places.

Some of the Indy places with RFID cards are changing, which is nice.  Saddleback, you can now reserve your Indy day online using an RFID card if you have one and I believe can do direct to lift...same with Cannon from what they told me there last time.  If I remember correctly, Greek was the same way last year.  Obviously if you don't have the RFID card, you'll have to go to the window or customer service the first time.

By definition, the Indy mountains are typically on the mom & pop size, so don't have RFID readers, yet.
I'm sure Entabeni Systems is working hard to outfit more and more mountains with their readers to make it easier to access.

Most Indy places have RFID. I skied 11 Indy places this year so far and the only places that used the old tickets were Shawnee and Black Mt. of Maine.

I agree that Indy should get on board with making their pass RFID and straight to lift at most places. I think the reason they don't is that they want to avoid people sharing or selling the places that they don't use on the pass so you have to show your face at the window.
