Hey All, I’m back from another fun morning session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 737am and it was 25 degrees out under partly sunny sky’s with light winds. In the house were Jimmy, Harold, Bethlehem Ford Guy, Atomic Jeff, Johnny Law, Salty, Mixilplix, Airhead, Rodney and Oz. There was quite a gathering for opening bell at the OG six pack and definitely a good amount of people starting on Paradise. Paradise had pretty nice snow on the first 2/3 and then solid and uneven the last section. I did a repeat of that then took a very icy Super summit safari six pack to easy out to vista midway to lower Main Street. Midway was super slick and lower main had decent snow but very dark. Did a repeat of that and then over to Lazy mile which reopened today. Lazy mile was the classic cookies beginning with small once and getting larger then the last section single track and slick. I skied midway to lower main again and paradise again and then peaced out. Conditions were worse than opening weekend but luckily the guns are cranking on the falls, Razors, learning area and some random spots. JADIP10 points

I'm the outlier for sure but I thought today was pretty ok. Lazy was classic blue but midway to lower main I thought was a hoot though midway does have some glacial spots. Dis was coming apart run by run, each time you got more and more cookies especially as you moved down the hill. Way way way too much water out there but not alot they can do. It was super nice out, good peeps and ok skiing not too much more I can ask for on the 13th.7 points

Ski patroller on the lift said the lower section of Lazy was too narrow and unsafe so they shut it down. Said they would try and get the falls open tomorrow to get some of the faster skiers over there. Also they were waiting for a part for the quad that won’t be delivered until the new year. Upper section of midway got real skied off by noontime. Did a lot of Paradise runs today.5 points

Around 10:30 -11ish I noticed that they had shut down a majority of the guns...and when I got to my car the temp read 28...Which trail you went on depended how much you were willing to put up with ,,Midway to LM was really nice...Lazy was kinda spicy....Saw PSU Frankenstein and took al lap with him. Then saw Salty in the lot.... Really good day for mid Dec...Weekend should be good...5 points

Powder day!!! If you were good at hunting. Chute was off the hook early then the middle went to shit and kept everyone off . Upper Chute woods were good for some powder turns and side ditch was fun. Lower main side country was great by the gun. A 1000% improvement from yesterday had a blast today. 9-12 I noticed the quad bull wheels on the ground 🫤although it was encouraging to see them blowing snow on coming soon at 12:30 when I left. I’m thinking they must have a resolution not too far in the future if they’re blowing snow.5 points

Fun morning session at Blue Mountain...Brisk wind outa west...Saw some of the BFC in the lot other than that it was a pretty empty...Para was more on the sucky side of things..Again a cornucopia of conditions...Burma had good consistent conditions...Ended up just lapping Midway to LM....Conditions there were pretty fast..There were a few spots that had churned up granola type stuff...other than that it was really firm and pretty flat..Did not go down Chute(See pic)....Ended up doing a few runs with JL.... Rode from 9 to 11:30... They are making snow on TCS....It was above freezing and they had them fired up...Some looked OK...but the ones on Razors looked weak....But good for them for making an effort...Pretty sure I saw C1 a couple of times.....I think they will have things ironed out for the weekend...Should get some good production out of the guns...3 points

@Johnny Law yeah I think was on either Wineskin or Whispering Jesse. Took one more run off Big Burn and ran through Sneaky’s Glades popped out and finished with the short Jack of Hearts bump run. When I got to the bottom of Big Burn I knew I didn’t have another one left in me as it’s 3200 from top to base. Scooted down to the base, almost ate shit on some out of nowhere rocks. Stopped to compose myself and heard some girls saying “Be careful lots of rocks here” to each other. Overall stellar day.3 points

Surprisingly, a good day after all the rain, slopes were definitely pretty firm but good coverage. Like Mix, I lapped midway and lower main mostly, left about 1030. Light was pretty flat on lower main early, and the area above midway was boiler plate later on. A fair number of groomer gouges on Chute. The lodge/Vista area had slightly sticky blown snow, but was good grippy skiing. A lot of snow guns going. All in all, a pretty good morning. I think I would trade not having coming soon open if they run the two 6 packs all day. No lines at all today.3 points

I almost got to see @GrilledSteezeSandwich boot up but missed it by a few minutes. Many were shocked that he, @Johnny Law and Atomic Skier were not at the front of the lift gates this morning. In fact they probably didn't get in line until 8:55 am. That was crazy like Jay Z.2 points

It wasn’t terrible just was the worst of the four days I’ve skied so far on conditions. I’m still glad I went skiing2 points

I skied 2 hr. til 11:00 am. I only saw Mixilplix in the ski and ride parking lot at that time. I guess everyone else drank their Yoo Hoos early and went home.2 points

Infinitely better than expected, Vista was actual good and Burma was blue good. If it was anything other than a rink I would have been happy but for the most part it was only super slick in the shady spots. I didn't ski Sunday so maybe I'm off but they didn't seem to lose much depth and guns were on full blast even if its just blowing water. Super nice out and no crowds just alot of regulars, I rode with the dude for an hr and right as he had to leave I ran into mixl and then when I had to go I ran into Tarpon and took a lap as he's off to the cape for a bit. Today was a really good Chinese buffet, I expected pretty much nothing but didn't want to leave when my time was up though compared to an actual good snow day or restaurant it's at best just ok2 points

It was open early on and then they closed it. It was probably the worst asteroid field I've ever skied on.1 point

Idk what the actual temp is but it's warm, yesterday and today as it heats up they are mostly throwing water. You can feel the hard spots under your feet and you can see it never freezes in the column. Yesterday mixl and I got wet and one run today stuck snow to Atomics skis. If it's sticking to his skis the rest of us are fuuuuucked.1 point

Nice report, I’ll be up at Blue in the AM..it’s funny how skiing works..I didn’t ski for 8+ months then skied three sessions and had four days off and I’m thristing for it and might even poke my head into the ski shop and look at gloves.1 point

The monkees were my jam back in the day. True story...I was a wee one, but my parents took me to veterans stadium in 1986 (I think it was) to see them. Another true story...went to the Michael Jackson Victory tour also (83 or 84?) at JFK stadium.. I think I was 6. Lol I remember them both pretty well. Stay turned for "more crap about me that no one cares about but this is what happens when I'm stuck in the car waiting for my kid to finish volleyball practice."1 point
