After learning about the Killington-Pico Interconnect Trail while skiing Pico a few years back I added it to my Ski Bucket List. On Tuesday Mrs. SnoBunSki was doing a PSIA cert at Killington and it being a gorgeous bluebird day, decided to give it a go. I set off from Killington Rams Head to skin up and over to Pico’s Summit Glade, one of my all time favorite trails.. After an easy skin up to the trailhead I cut over to the Interconnect and after some mellow climbing I soon had Killington in the rear view mirror Coverage was good although I was hoping for a snowmobile trail through the woods more than a groomer wide super highway. As I approached the switchbacks just before Pico the snow started thinning and eventually gave way to grass and dirt for a few hundred yards with a great view back to K. Over the saddle the snow picked up again to connect to the Summit Glade trail with a nice view for a bevy, lunch and skin strip. I was looking forward to a challenging spring tele run down Summit Glade but it was not to be had. Temps had risen to the upper 40’s/low 50’s but the bumps had yet to soften so I cut over to the frozen crud on 49er. It softened up about half way down allowing for some fun spring tele turns down to the base. I saw The Bus pulling out just as I got to the base so I hoofed it up to Long Trail Inn to burn some time before the next one, stats below.13 points

Hey all, I’m back from another morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived in the lower lot at 830am and it was in the mid 30s under sunny skys with strong winds out of the northwest. In the house were Atomic Jeff, NMSki, Johnny Law and Mixilplix. First civilian super summit safari six to lazy mile to start which was firm but pretty smooth and just starting to soften around the sharp corner. Paradise was similar conditions a little firmer with lanes of mini cookies and boilerplate. Coming soon was also solid but the wind made it a slow motion run. Widowmaker to the chute also firm although the chute started to corn up slightly after an hour or so. Crowds were lighter than the winds but still some people out. I peaced out at 10:36 and now back to work like a dork, gonna try to sell a tombstone at Noon.. JADIP6 points

To stop the trash problem they need to have it picked up every few days. People who otherwise wouldn’t throw an empty can onto the clean ground see the ground covered in cans and think “fuck it, what’s one more can?” A shame people think that way, but when they see lots of trash, they somehow think it’s now ok to litter. Keep it relatively clean all the time and less people will be tempted to litter3 points

No pond skim scheduled, they'll open next weekend even if it's only Vista lift. 🤣 But it won't be.2 points

As long as you asked for it….. The target ranges are for me to advance to the next SkiIQ level, and since I am at the bottom of my current level, the targets are quite a stretch for me. I was working on early edging on this run. I paused at the top of Floyd’s, so Solitude wasn’t included in this interval.2 points

NM was closed. Looks like they are taking out some of the large features on nightmare. They took a lot of trash from the Main St lift. Main was starting to soften up around 11. Razors was still a block of ice with any loose stuff on the head wall being blown up off the hill. It was grate. Seeded bumps skiers left on Razors, took out the lower section of bumps on Main. Hopefully will blow some snow tonight.1 point

I went to CB yesterday mid-afternoon. Was very soft, but super low traffic so pretty damn smooth. The blue barrels were skiing well in the base area...snow was melting fast.1 point
