  1. Loveland is incredible. That is all.
  2. Now you understand why I confused it with Vermont last year in my trip report.

My understanding is it's ok to post the text version, but not the image.
  4. The wifi (found out later there is free wifi) works better from inside the car than in the room.

Just woke up. Whatever is happening here I didn't do it.
  7. It's a blue bird morning in Silverthorne. A bit colder than the last time I stayed at this hotel during my bikefari, when I biked up Mt Evans the next day.
  8. Wow I hit 42 mph... must have been on one of the wide open blues or blue/blacks that I did. Definitely not in the perder, I probably do 5 mph in the perder.
  9. Looking forward to it, I intend to ski as much of the mountain as I can... looks like there are easy ways down from every lift. The steak was excellent, though I was annoyed (just at first) that I had to cook it myself, since I was planning on sitting down and doing nothing but eating. I also had a salad bar and 5 or 6 pieces of toast. The total was only $18 + the tip for them bringing my ice water.
  10. I think GrilledSteezeSandwich did... ... just kidding @RidgeRacer, your description of the Parsenn Bowl and endless groomed blue runs is what sold me on Winter Park. Thanks!!!
  11. Bull. I compared it to my car speedometer and it was an exact match.
  12. Starting this skison there is a high speed quad that accesses some blue and black runs. I learned that from a trail map I got at the Silver Inn lobby while eating self cooked cajun steak at The Mint.
  13. I hit 57 mph going down Susquehanna at Elk. That's about 30 mph less than your run down Floyd's but fast enough for me. Now that I'm old (30) I'm fine going 35-40 at most.
  14. Next year I think I'm going to do a full week at Copper and I'll look for bargains. I did this trip on a whim with less than a week to plan and most deals are nonrefundable and require at least 7 days prior, from what I've gathered.
  15. Damn, seems like a lot of deaths this season. My days of skiing ridiculously fast are over.
  16. It was windy as hell, the only lift running in the gondola area was Arrow which goes nowhere. Thanks for the tips, I had a great 3 days at WP. Those runs yesterday in foot deep powder in the Parsenn Bowl were the best and most memorable of my life!
  17. So basically just lean over more. Got it.
  18. Barb, every lift to MJ side was closed. I was stuck at the Gondola. Had to take the stupid shuttle again. Believe me I studied the lift map and asked information desk. Everyone was taking the shuttle. At Steeze's favorite place, the Silver Inn... and no wifi?? What am I going to do all night? At least I saved $20 thanks to Steeze's recommendation to call and ask for a single bed. Thanks Steeze!
  19. No way to get back to Mary Jane lot which is where my rental car is so looks like I'm taking the shuttle again.
  20. This is great!!! But then I'll have to find an upper lodge to take hot cocoa breaks.
  21. Got some fun runs in but today is definitely the worst of the 3 days I skied here (still better than being at work). First run goggles iced up for some reason and couldn't see shit. Got that issue fixed, then did a few runs on ungroomed blues and groomers. Between the insane wind and slow snow it's brutal moving around on flat sections. I found a nice advanced groomed run I really liked, Cheshire Cat, but would have passed out if i had to pole plant to it again. Got stuck on Olympus Express for a while which sucked big time. Now the gondola is shut down indefinitely so taking a break, jadip.
