  1. Blue should install one to get from the valley to the summit lodge.
  2. Get some fatter skis and blast right over/through the Pocono perder!
  3. Wait, who is on this trip? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks so much for reminding us, as if we’ve not been skiing the same trails over and over and over again. ;-) At least Tarpon escaped from Groundhog Day for a while! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Yeah, don't get kidnapped and taken to the underground tunnels!
  6. We used to go to Chili's fairly frequently, then just gave it up. I liked the chicken covered in BBQ sauce platter.
  7. Which way is the park?
  8. Yeah, we got some good snow on that trip which will make pretty much anywhere a lot of fun, but overall PC is pretty disappointing compared to Alta and Snowbird, IMO. Personally I wouldn't go to Utah to do PC again.
  9. Just what I like to see, currently 41 in Palmerton and that's gonna be the high for the day at 5AM.
  10. Always loved driving past the haunted house at the top of the hill when I was a kid going up to see my grandmother in Nesquehoning.
  11. However, the new modeling (FV3) that wasn't out earlier, has it hitting, which of course will happen because I have to go to Chicago that day...
  12. Bummer, looks like GFS has it tracking to the South of us as of right now...
  13. I read that they're taking steps to improve the air quality (moving buses to natural gas/electric), but I think they've got a pretty long road to hoe.
  14. Precipitation just started falling here with a weird mix of heavy rain with giant snowflakes mixed in. WTF is going on this year???
  15. I believe it's still within the valley area, as the mountains are immediately to the East. https://www.sltrib.com/news/environment/2018/01/09/utahs-air-quality-is-sickening-even-killing-locals-year-round-new-research-suggests/
  16. Would absolutely love to live in Alta.
  17. Yeah, been looking for places after son graduates and I love Utah, but the air quality in Salt Lake area gets to unhealthy levels during inversions that can last for weeks. Salt Lake City is a valley surrounded by mountains and when the winds die down and cold air sets in, the smog just lingers over the city. Friends that used to live out there moved out because of it. I hear it's really bad for those with respiratory problems. Spectacular place to visit, but I wouldn't live there.
  18. Yeah, that's what @AtomicSkier said. I didn't think it would kick that fast, but SS 2.0 brought everyone out, so I'm not surprised.
  19. I'm so mad at myself for missing out. Thinking ahead (yeah I don't like wishing my season/life away, but those who fail to plan...), perhaps put in a request for him to brew up something special for season end party?
  20. Pounding Razor's now...
  21. In my opinion, the snow was excellent for the majority of the day, at least until the legs gave out. As temps came up in late morning and the sun broke through the clouds, spring conditions arrived yet again. This allowed for a bunch of us to create another TBT, thigh burning bump line on the sunny side of Main Street. We also set a short line on the North side of Chute, just for the fun of it. By 1pm, lower Main Street was a ridiculous bump field and when the sun hit it, made for a wild ride of natural spring bumps. I was expecting to see Glen Plake come ripping through them at any moment, but it turns out he was up a MRG for the day. This has been one weird winter so far and never would have expected to be skiing spring bumps at the beginning of January, but when live throws you lemons... I thought there'd still be some Mango milkshake by the time I had to drop a layer, but I should have known better. Thanks @enjoralas again for the meat & shrimp samples, they were delicious as always! So ready for winter to return though!
  22. I've read all the new posts and watched all the videos and it's pouring rain outside. Guess I'll take down the Christmas tree, crack a beer, jerk off and take a nap.
  23. He's not the only one.
  24. Nephew in the Marines just got transferred to Japan. I believe a visit is in order.
