Kyle
I picked up a pair of line after bangs and bindings from my one of my friends for dirt cheap so I'm getting back into skiing this year but I have a couple questions about boots and sizing as I have no clue how it works really. I'm looking at full tilts line of boots. Size 8 shoe, what size boot should I be looking for? 26?
poconoceancity
Yes add the two numbers together. I'm a 28 since I'm a size 10.

Proper fitting Boots are the most important part of your equipment..
Mixilplix
Full Tilt has two widths with there boots...I think the Booter and the High Five are the wider ones...The rest of the line is narrow...Find a dealer and try some on...I got back into skiing last year and found these boots super comfortable.... Kyle
NO! Go to a shop and get fitted.... Proper fitting Boots are the most important part of your equipment.. That is definatley on the list. Right now I'm weighing options and prices, I've noticed a few different places have different prices for sizes of boots that's why I asked. Most likely going the full tilt route as I rode with a pair last year and loved them.

Justo8484
Second best IMO a helmet would always be firstwhile I agree that a helmet is a very important pice of gear, it doesn't really affect your skiing ability. There's not like a beginner helmet or an advanced helmet or anything like that. A ski boot is a much more personal piece of equipment, and it pays to get a pair that fits properly. You can pick up last years helmet for 50% off and sticker it up or spray paint it if you don't like the color.
