It was pretty devastating. That gift card will be buried in the snow until next winter because Camelback made so much snow that they're buried in it.

I'm surprised you didn't remember where you dropped your gift card and look for it.  It's only $5 you probably make that in 10-15 minutes.

Last year I found someone else's PA Ski Card under the lift on Shawnee. Was all soggy, but still had a few rides left. Perhaps I'll find your GC on CB ;)

Me and TP4 often find money.  I've found money many places including Blue mountain ski area.  I've found every bill except a $100 bill.

Did you get the $1 that was under the 6 the other day about 2 supports up from the base?
Tarpon kept eyeing it up.

I didn't see it. If Tarpon was there I probably had already quit already lol. I've spotted money from the lift at Blue several times and retrieved it all but one time when some kid got to it at the same time and I let him have the $5.

ya, i found a $20 with mattedge on switchback last year.  ive found $50 bills on multiple occasions, but never a $100.

I've only found a $50 once. I've found $20s several times.  My mom once found a wad of $20s and back in the late 40s my grandfather was in New York City and found a $100 bill in the lobby of an office building. He checked the entire building looking to see if anybody had lost the money and he was distraught to keep it. If I saw a $100 bill anywhere on the ground I would step on that mofo if people were around and pretend to tie my shoe before retrieving it.

a year ago I was at the casino walking out and I saw a $20 bill on the ground.  i did the smart thing and left it there, cause i knew if i picked it up, sercurity would be waitiung for me at the front door.  sure enought, a few days later on the news, I see that someone was arrested for picking up that exact same $20 bill at the exact time I had been there.

same shit happened at Grand Central terminal in NYC.  i saw a pink wallet in the stair case.  my ex went to pick it up and i immediately grabbed her and told her not to cause NYPD was watching.  sure enough a few days later im reading the Crime Blotter in the NY Post, and what do you know...a Swedish tourist was arrested and hit with a felony for picking up a pink wallet in the staircase on the same exact day I was there.

Say whaaat? Since when picking up a $20 a crime??

Here is Operation Lucky Bag, where NYPD puts wallets in subway stations, then immediately arrests anyone who picks it up.  They also put AMEX cards under fictious NYPD names.  That credit card in the wallet turns a petite larceny (minor misdeamnor) into a felony.

the crazy thing is in the article, the cops are actually bragging about arresting people and throwing them in jail, despite those people having no idea they were doing anything wrong.  pretty much a perfect representation of police officers in America

That's crazy!  Can't that be considered entrapment?

i took a criminal justice class in college and the professor was the actual head of the NYPD's legal department.  their justificaition (as he told us) is that the undercovers place the wallet near a cop, token booth, etc and watch the person who picked up the wallet.  if they walk by the token booth or cop without stopping and giving them the wallet, they wait til the person leaves the station.  while this is going on, they radio up to the uniformed cops on the street who make the arrest when the person comes up the stairs.

their justification is that they give the people an opportunity to turn the wallet into a cop, token booth clerk, etc.  if that person leaves the station with the wallet, they assume they are stealing it.
