  1. Hey All, I’m back from a fun morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot before 720am and it was 26 degrees under cloudy skys with moderate winds. In the house were Johnny law, JFDan, Dirtwolf, Atomic Jeff, BenM, Mixilplix, PARidgeRacer, MBike Mike, Nastar Glenn, Mute, SaltyAnt, Jim, Drew, Gary, Slim, GahSkier George, Spyder, Falco, Charles, Bethlehem Ford Guy and many others. First civilian OG six pack and razors was already closed for race team. First run on Challenge and was the best it’s been this season..nice and smooth and soft cord…I repeated that three more times initially then Main Street which was decent on the top and rough lower down with new manmade snow. Coming soon was also very rough and slick. Back to challenge which was still decent, especially upper skiers right…I skied that four more times and then ended the session on Switchback which was decent. All in all pretty good snow and it was also pretty crowded. Skiing challenge was nice cause it was empty but every run the falls and homestretch were looney but I’m glad Blue is making that Johnny cash. I hungout in the lot briefly and enjoyed Xmas cookies and party mix. Now at work like a dork. Ski most of yall tomorrow. JADIP

  2. Maybe as I haven't skied with everyone in a bit or because yesterday sucked I thought today was quite good. The first two down challenge you could really slut it up and set the charge level to plaid. Always good to have switch in the mix and the speed bump they built to slow you down makes an excellent little booter. I will always vote for lumpy side but if they don't do that it's nice to have a trail to catch some air. Everything else than NmDW is kinda warmup and while I never got it right today there is a nice ledge on the left that should make for a really nice left air right air combo. Personally I hope they never put features on it again but I'm probably smoking crack. Hopefully with some cold over night it sets up a bit nicer, you can feel the Glacier under the scratch and the scratch in certain parts didn't make 930.

  3. Got there around 9:30 today and skied with the masses. It was ok. I somehow managed an empty main run t2b on good snow which was nice. I feel like main is sort of an unsung hero this year as far as conditions go. Everything else was decent to shitty, with the shitty being wherever the sugar was deepest, mainly on the flats and run outs. @Johnny Law told me im the lot that there's some good to be found however and that was true. The best part of the day was watching the multitude of people attempting to enter the VIP gate and baffled as to why it wasn't working. I guess people just automatically assume that they're VIPs....idk. When one liftie questioned one of them, he responded with "I have Icon" thinking that would get him through the pearly gates. It didn't and hats off to the liftie who, in response, told him "that's not a blue mountain pass, you need to get in the other line".

  4. First hour things rode great.Next hour saw things get a little feisty with the crowd and snow conditions....Switch and Side were super fun early and you could lay down some good stuff on NMDW..

  5. Holy O' Sugar Batman! I don't think I've ever seen it so deep across the entire mountain. Lazy in particular had like knee deep piles of that shit in spots. Had me wishing I'd brought my Fatypuses for all that Pocono powder!

  7. Absolutely historic travel to blue this weekend. Saturday is last day of my life that I’ll get scanned at a toll plaza on the pa turnpike, and Sunday the first day ever I use open road tolling. Gonna have trouble sleeping tonight

  8. Almost certainly both days, definitely tomorrow because the boys are in Saturday WAC again. I think it will be a weekend off cooking while we get the WAC timing down. Back again on Sunday unless Camel makes some miracle terrain expansion and we decided to go there.

  14. Hey All, It’s almost another weekend, and Blue mountain the true mountain is open for skiing and riding. Anybody skiing Saturday-Sunday? I’ll be there both days with a longer session Sunday as the kid starts WAC. Looks like a good snowmaking weather window to help resurface the conditions. JADIP

  15. Yeah, saw their stock is losing money. Seriously, just pay your workers a living wage. Ski patrollers in these areas have a lot of responsibility. It takes a lot of practice and education. I feel bad for anyone injured there.

  21. For you to go mildly Salty, it had to be pretty fucked up. Im telling you, the lift issues are because they are built on an indian burial ground. They can put in a new lift that runs just as bad as the old ones. they struggle in the lift department for sure. But they have someone out every morning organizing the snow fencing for the lifts. Thats how like the bizzaro world of blue works. Make sure the lines have organization, so people are organized when the lines start backing up because the lifts stop cooperating. You know the snowfence they put up to keep people from getting on the snow to the lifts except where they put the mats? My guess is someone at shit, either getting on or off, or someone just skied right off and took a ride in the ambulance. Its unlikely the fence is a preventative measure. Thats unlike blue.

  22. Glad you are in the mend @toast21602 I start PT for my arthritic knee Monday 😂. Did some uphill at Buttermilk today and grabbed these on the way home. Love my BC Nordic skis, but they stink on groomed stuff and don’t fit in a track. Gonna play around on these tomorrow hopefully
