Today, Jeff, Tom, and Dan skied Kmart. Sadly, it was like skiing in PA with a drive. Temps were low enough overnight to leave us with a mix of sugah, boiler plate and firm snow. Still leaving VT with a smile as we knew today wasnt going to be the day yesterday was. We beat the rain and stayed dry. On the way home now. pic of some trails with snow on them. saw Blue dudes again.6 points

I remember why I never want to leave this place. We went Buttermilk first thing as its their closing with the fresh snow and like 4 people there it was absolute pinch me shit until 11 or so. Crazy views of Pyramid, super sun and perfect temps with untracked to your hearts content. After tie hack was tracked out we over to west and found even more. When you found a line you liked you could just go back move 5ft over and ski it again. Buttermilk is super meadowskippy but we skipped the fuck out of the meadows and it was glorious. Around lunch I went to visit the queens of slay at Snowmass, it was super nice to catch up with Barb and Snowmass is staying open until 6. I skied mad laps and am eating a cheesesteak at Zanes but I'm gonna go back out and ski for 2 more hrs. My arm is still all janky though improved, putting a jacket on is more a seductive stripper like move but none of it matters. Beam me the fuck up, I'm never leaving the mothership.3 points

Jeff, Tom, Dan skied stratton yesterday afternoon. Mostly cloudy spring snow, with just a little mist for out last runs. 12 people were there. Today Jeff, Tom and Dan skied sugarbush and, boy was it wonderful. Soft down low from the start under sunny skies. Coverage is not as good as last year. Castlerock is pretty bare, as well as some other favs. Tom did Tom stuff, which is ski some trees with some hiking all in the same run. Saw some Blue dudes. gate house on our way out. Jeff and Tom hitting the steps on the way out. kmart tomorrow hopefully for a few hours before the rain sets in.2 points

Did a day trip from Sacramento. Nice area, more of a local ski area feel here, with some nice runs and good snow. Stayed on the front side. Took a run from the top with the grandkids on greens and then a bunch on the learner hill. Pretty heavy snow but not mashed. Pretty good base still. The fire came really close to the lodge2 points

I talked to a lady patroller on the gondy who had awesome stories about the traverse out there which makes me sorry it wasn't open. Pony was running and that was super good until the afternoon sun really baked it so I definitely want to get back out and hit Mahogany.1 point

I'm skiing buttermilk tomorrow and am in town all week with my brother if you want to take some laps hit me up. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After wrecking yesterday I went to the clinic where they pronounced I royally fucked my deltoid which has to be the dumbest injuries ever but I did decide to wash the sand out of my vag and rally at the tbar. The boat was reporting 3 inches new today and with blue skies and warm temps it was a super nice day. I can't really move my right arm at all so while lefty is normal I have to trex righty and hold it up against my body. This brought on much hilarity in things like trying to carry my skis or put my jacket on but it also means I'm no judge of conditions as my wings were clipped. Pow I was super off balance in the transition and just went full straights only, groomers I can only really turn right but fwiw I thought it was super good albeit heavyish snow. The crowds started to show up around noon and I bet the boat can get super crowded but the lines were neglible and I trexed my way down the hill all day with much happiness. For me getting older and having to ski anyway other than how I want is nightmare fuel but I did find even making unbalanced doodle turns at slow for me speeds I still had a great time and enjoyed myself. I'll turn the dial back up as soon as my arm works again but I gotta say I don't fear the reaper so much anymore and I gotta give the boat mad props for that alone.1 point

I stood at the top of the Falls after my last run on Sunday, a great run down Lazy with no one else around, and great snow, edge to edge coverage which is unheard of for last weekend in March, and I really wanted to take a couple more runs. But then I thought, you know, if that was the last run of my Blue Mountain season, I can live with that memory until November. No regerts.1 point
