Not happy about that. Bear Creek is too far to drive to

slalom Wednesdays are fun - $15 club lift tix, $10 unlimited NastyR! a few beers in the lodge (cheaper than blue!) your spoiled being so close, that's easy for me to say since bc is closer to work for me

Bear Creek is worth the drive.  Takes me 40-45 minutes to get there, but I have way more fun both on and off the snow [running gates] than I do at Blue.  I'll be returning.

As flat as BC is, I credit practicing at BC to my improved slalom skiing.  Unlike at Blue where you can get going way too fast, I feel like BC is a good pitch to be able to work on things, but still be able to attack.

Is bear creeks bar really less expensive than blue? I always thought it was way overpriced.

Then again, I was a college kid last year and most of the drinking I did was tinnys on the lift or in the parking lot.

It's crazy that they don't. BC is booked every weekend in the winter. There's no rentals or decent hotels near blue. They would do very well. I'm sure the hotel at CB will be booked most weekends this winter.

Yes.  Not only is it cheaper, it's a much nicer place to sit and have a beer.  Much nicer bar, fireplaces (i think), nice tables/couches.  I think the mtn closes at 9pm ?  Easily there past 10:30...

Yeah, I'll take bear's bar over blue's any day. The prices are cheaper and you get your beer in a proper pint glass, not a 12oz plastic cup. Stone IPA was something like $8 at blue last year? That's a $6 beer in philly, and that's on the expensive end.

If you go to the bar in the restaurant you get a real pint glass. I guess too many hooligans up there in the winter to trust them at the top bar. Plus, everybody would put them in their boot bag and walk away.

Was up last night for some GS runs but bumps on Grizz and Squatch had me distracted... same might be true for the slalom gates tonight haha
