At Elk, I think the race team pays a fee to the mountain for the use of the Slalom trail. The race kids and their families are a source of significant income for the mountain. At least they were, with the management now systematically alienating most everyone they come in contact with, one wonders how long they can continue with their reindeer games. Elk, Its like skiing at Blue with a longer drive! 2
