sexkitten Posted January 26, 2007 Report Posted January 26, 2007 Damn Under Armour is expensive! Do any of you know a good source for piecesfor cheaper than the major retailers? Thanks.
IrishSnow686 Posted January 26, 2007 Report Posted January 26, 2007 Under Armour is def not cheap, your looking at about $40-$50 for the cold gear w/ the mock turtle neck. But it is def worth it, I feel naked if I go out on a cold day without it.. when its warmer I just use the normal Under Armour. Try typing in cheap under armour gear in google.. or buy directly from Under Armour website... its about $50 on there.
ColoradoHigh Posted January 26, 2007 Report Posted January 26, 2007 Paying full price sucks. Its for a good quality product so its worth it. It keeps me 10 times warmer. I got mine for 80 bucks at the Sports Authority.
toast21602 Posted January 26, 2007 Report Posted January 26, 2007 much cheaper if you buy in bulk. we got long sleeved cold gear for the team with 'moravian' on the front and they ended up costing us $20
Barb Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 went to Dick's last week and it was on sale.

You got ripped off than. Should only cost about 50. It's ok. I've gone on COLD days without wearing it. If you know how to layer good you will be warm, under armor or not.
DHarrisburg Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 If you know how to layer good you will be warm, under armor or not. Ding ding.
Ski Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 Ding ding. The real benefit of UA is that it lets you slide a speed suit on no matter how many chicken wings and six packs you had the night before.
mbike-ski Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 army navy in whitehall usually has buy one get 2nd half off, that the best we've found but they don't always have all sizes
AtomicSkier Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 The real benefit of UA is that it lets you slide a speed suit on no matter how many chicken wings and six packs you had the night before. I learned the hard way. Getting stuck in a speed suit SUCKS.
nick malozzi Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 You can buy other stuff that is cheaper then under armor and works pretty much just as well. EMS makes a version of it that they call Tech Wick. The benefit to wearing Under Armor, Tech Wick, or something similar to it is that it wicks the sweat and moisture away from your body. I personally wear the cold weather weight stuff to ride, but you could get the warm weather stuff and just wear a tshirt over it. That is essentially what the cold weather stuff is. Just wear a polyester shirt over it, actually anything over it as long as it doesn't have cotton in it.

mystrymaster Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 I have UA and a knock off brand of the same stuff from sports authority that I just paid 14 dollars for on clearence and let me tell you they do the ecact same thing.
Schif Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 I wear polar max and I love it. Super comfortable and works like a charm. I love Under Armour and I've got a ton, but only the free stuff I got from playing basketball.

ColoradoHigh Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 Whats your guys take on glove liners? Should I get them?
Skizilla Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 I guess it depends on whether or not your gloves are warm enough. (Yeah no duh) My gloves have fleece liners that I usually leave out unless it's really cold. Also if the gloves do get wet I can always put in the liners and it's like a new pair of gloves. Just my take on it.

I also need a balaclava.
