Conditions are gonna be good tomorrow..should start semi firm with overnight temperatures around freezing, then snow will cycle to corn and then mershed PerTerters. Leave your facemask at home.

Around the mtn today. Fav runs were NMDW, Main st., and Sidewinder. Weirdly there were icy spots in amongst the soft snow/-not ice I guess but compacted snow that feels like ice.

Its gonna be the last day for me, last day the snow has to be ragged. The more sketchy it is the better. Pound beers get lit, let'r rip.

Ah Salty, why limit your fun? The mountain is open, lifts will be running, and it wil be sunny. I may have to put in my last 10 hour day!

I'll get a day at Blue and hopefully 2 more lift served at Smuggs. Then it all depends on the remaining snowpack. I should be able to hike at least 7 more days before the end of may.

Fatter skis (with wax) will help. I love blasting through the soft warm spring snow.

I'm glad they are keeping snowtubing open. Cosmic tubing in a t shirt sounds like my idea of a perfect saturday night.

You can't when you don't try (and go down a different trail). Seriously, ski with people who ski better than you and watch what they do and you'll improve fast. Not a bad plan. There's some truth to this. Keep the tips pointed down the fall line, when something gets in your way, turn.

On my way back to PA to deal with some house stuff so I stopped at Magic for a few runs. It's $29 on Thursdays. So I did Wizard, a blue trail and was like holy shite what kind of blue trail has steep, narrow chutes!?!? I'm on the lift now having partially side-slipped a GREEN trail that had MOGULS. The snow is like butter and much of the mountain is ungroomed. It's been a crazy, amazing experience so far!

Nice..just picked up a 12 pack of perpetual cans for tomorrow!!!

It's open ended. Lately, a month or more in VT, then back in PA for a few weeks. Depends on what's going on. I'm planning on going back on the 13th for at least a coupla weeks to ski and start rehabbing the kitchen. Mostly moving stuff out of the cabinets, taking some more measurements, maybe start taking out the old cabinets, doing some electrical work and figuring out the plumbing for the new stuff. I plan to spend most of the spring and summer up there. Congrats on the move to VT!

I basically get a Doppler-Effect of everyone saying "WOOOOHOOOO" as they speed by me. I'm not a PASR, but I'm PASR-adjacent for a few seconds.

Are you actually going to ski a run or two with us this time or is the plan to duck out onto P-dizzle all day?

Are you moving up there? MAGIC is a good mountain vibe wise and has struggled in the shadows of Stratton and Okemo. They have better advanced terrain than either. They finally got a decent infusion of cash last year with new ownership and focused on fixing/restoring/expanding the snowmaking system, I think they picked up some new snow fans. The black lift is finally running. A lot of folks are diehards there like any other hill, and prolly had one of the best seasons there this year. The co-op collapsed, there was some bad blood with Sullivan, but I think there wasn't any evidence of misappropriation of the money. I could be completely wrong about that. TGR and AZ have relatively active threads for Magic, and the douchebag:good natured ratio is very low.

All the bumpers will be up at K for the mogul challenge. Saturday will be my last day at blue this season. Was hoping they would go one more weekend [emoji22]

Ascutney Outdoors just built a lodge with a donated building frame and volunteer labor. They have a huge rope tow and a grooming truck and are putting in a t-bar soon. I hope to volunteer with them; it's an amazing resource for local families who want to get their kids skiing without going broke from lift prices. Brownsville is a happening place these days; even the general store is re-opening. VT mtb festival is at Ascutney this year, too.

Sally, I seriously am so jealous of you right now. Every day I come on here and you're having one awesome adventure after another. Way to get out there and live the dream. PS Magic Mountain looks awesome, really was never on my radar before but it looks sweet.

I'm getting a season pass here for next year mainly to get on the Freedom Pass. This place will make me a better skier, I hope! I LOVE the vibe here.

I own 1/1100000000th of that place. Magic is one of the coolest spots to ski anywhere, steep and if you got the skills you can go ski Timberline
