  2. Only lift running is Burma Chair. I was going to be first chair but I waited 20 minutes for them to tell me the six pack is going to take a while. The line iced up and the chairs were slipping. David was very nice telling me I’m better off taking the shuttle, but the SP3000 that came over on his snow mobile went with “get out of there, this side is closed, get out.” Drove to the top with one boot off and slayed vista, midway, to lower Main Street on frozen cord. Should soften up as the sun gets higher. Usually I would wait till after skiing for a TR but this lift is so Danny long, I was able to write this. Only other person I saw was Bethlehem Ford guy. 3. Lady at the ticket window told me earlier in the season that the 6th Grade Pass is actually a $99 season pass. 4th and 5th Grade PA Ski Pass is the one that gets you 3 passes to pretty much every mountain in PA along with 1 rental and 1 lesson. Costs about $30 and is a no brainer even if you use it once. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  4. Found a new to me used gear shop with tons of stock. These get great reviews and 2 of my friends have them and love them. Have to take them to the bootfitter and get new inserts as ones that are in there now are custom and don’t fit my feet Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  5. The snow is firm and fast. Easily carvable and good grooming. The snow in the sun is perfect. It should get better as the temps rise. The glades shine. @Ski2Live Live2Ski Would love it!!!

  9. I skied for ever with custom footbeds cause I have crazy high arches and always had to have inserts for running (predisposed to plantar fasciitis) so I just assumed I needed for skiing. This year on a lark I removed them and found I liked skiing without them much better. Hard to describe why. Lower to the ski kinda thing? I dunno but I’m not going back to footbeds again

  15. Pa (and CO) and prob other states offer a 6th grade ski pass that enables several free visits to local mountains for kids in 6th grade. Hoping that they will fall in love with skiing, then want to continue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  17. Sonic sucks. Sega sucks. Salty's car sucks.

  18. Sonic 2 was the bomb. I can speedrun it in like 1 or 2 hours. Metal Sonic and giant robot Robotnik were soo much harder when I was 12. Now I can decimate them with my eyes closed. Sonic 3 was sick also but I got stuck on Carnival Night Zone 2 for several years at the infamous evil up and down barrel. Hydrocity 2 and Ice Cap themes, composed by Michael Jackson himself, are 2 of my all time favorite video game tracks. Last year I found out Ice Cap 2 is based on an 80s song called Hard Times by the Jetzons which blew everyone's minds. I did an epic run down Gondalier at Stowe on a Perday day with that song playing in my helmet speakers. Good times.

  19. NMDW has some pretty big rollers and humps that make it fun like Sidewinder was. @mute1080 and @theprogram4 are here. So it cask man Steve. Good stuff.

  20. i feel like there should be a waiting period between "the chairs are slipping" and "we're good to go"

  21. It’s sweet. I’ve done it 2 or 3 times with a full moon at Sandia Peak ski area in New Mexico. Take the tram up, ski down and have someone pick you up in the parking lot. There would be dozens of other people there skinning and snowshoeing too. Like a little colony of night people when there’s a full moon.

  25. I’ll try to keep this short and sweet because I’m tired. I arrived at the lower lot at 640pm and it was around 40 degrees and was pretty crowded and first time this season I had to park a row over. About 16 buses. In the house were Atomic Jeff, PARidge and Johnny Law. Snow was sort of early springish and due to the amount of traffic pretty choppy with some natural and manmade Root rollers on many runs. Main Street was nice on the top and rough on the bottom, same with lazy mile. Paradise had the nicest snow just like on Thursday and unfortunately SP3000...me and JLaw received a lecture outside the scanners then my final run I waited for the patroller who lectures us to start on Paradise then when I got near I stopped then made lots of slow and deliberate turns with him skiing beside me asking if I was ok. Then at the bottom as I was taking skis off he asked if it was my last run and I didn’t answer then he said have a nice night. All in all a fun evening and almost the weekend!!!

  28. With all the fresh you're getting cord must feel like a let down. I'd be happy to ski on a surface that I can hold an edge on at Blue later.

  31. How do you think the glades will be tomorrow? Asking for a friend thats going to ski tomorrow morning. Were you in the way of them marking stuff off? wait....they dont do that till long after opening. Seems like a friendly guy though.

  34. Tapatalk is good if you are using multiple forums. I found that the mobile site for PASR has more functionality and is just as easy to use as tapatalk. Especially since Jeff’s upgrades over the years.
