  1. Hey All, I’m back from another fun morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at dark O’clock and it was 21 degrees out under partly cloudy sky’s. In the house were Johnny law, AngryHugo, Mute, Atomic Jeff, Boo Bear, MBike Bike, Antman, BenM, Mixilplix, Dirtwolf, TP4, JFDan, Becky Boo and many others. First run on nightmare for dreamweaver was nice smooth cord, second run a lot of the pig under the lipstick on nightmare ro dreamweaver was showing. Main Street was variable and slick and choppy, Lazy mile wasn’t that good and the top 2/3 of lazy was decent. I skied the famous left side ditch on Coming soon and it was decent and chalky..the run was good..very playful. I even skied a burma run and Yeti still had some fresh cord at 915am. It was busy but no real lift lines early… The temperatures rose into the 40s which made for a nice parking lot with beer and plenty of snacks. Snowmaking was taking place on challenge, switchback, Tubing and they were stockpiling snow on the learning hill next to the quad. All in all a decent session. I’ll prob be back around Tuesday AM

  2. Quick little solo tour on Snodgrass to test out my new boots. They have a cool feature called the Hoji lock system. You buckle boots in ski mode like you will go downhill, then switch the back lever to walk mode and all the buckles AND the power strap loosen. So you don’t have to fumble with 4 buckles and power strap for transitions, just flip up the lever, pretty cool! Just went up a mile and came back down. Toes numb when I got back to my car, not sure if the boots need an adjustment or it was just cold out. Skin track icy as hell!

  5. The Bear is Back! Last minute night session, Nice Vanilla Sorbet a little slow at first but sped up as the night went on. A stellar effort to come back from the nasty warm stretch. A few Whales were left alone to play on. Grizzly was probably 8’ high and upper section bumped up nicely. I waited too long to get over to Samsquanch so for my last run had to tuck and skate up. The Patrollers were just starting to close up but they let me past so my efforts didn’t go to waste. I haven’t skied Bear Creek that often but I don’t think I have ever seen bumlps build up on the steep section like I have tonight. Air after every turn it was awesome. Big hand on the effort to rebuild!

  7. Did some uphill at the resort this morning. Was -5 when we got out of the car. Started about 6:45ish. Sarah went all the way up to the top of Paradise lift. I stopped half way up. She was so much faster then me I felt bad she was waiting so I told her just to go. Had a boot fitting appt right after and got some sweet new touring boots! Can’t wait to rest them out.

  8. The three high speed lifts move a lot of people. Does anybody still park at the summit?

  9. Freefall was fantastic this morning. I got separated early and lapped that until I left at 9 to go run. Nice to feel winter for a day.

  10. So uphill at shawnee was really fun. right before we got in trouble for skinning up a closed slope. lots of snowmaking, so staying close to the guns here was the smart move. Wicked windy at the top. Skiing down with almost every gun blasting snow wasnt that awesome.

  14. Good: Breakfasts…all of them..bagel place breakfast sangs..thick cut bacon..average of three slices even two is good with thick bacon and a fried egg and cheddar cheese on an everything bagel. A few days I didn’t want the grease and got cheddar cheese and tomato on a poppy seed bagel to change it up. Even had a banana from the free breakfast one day a day later cause it was not quite ready. Radical. Free breakfast hectic and legit..I like that they have salsa and can switch it up and have some apple juice or cafe au lait Also they have bacon it’s thin but can take as much as you want Also nutri grain bars you can take for later. Not my fave but you can’t always have a huckleberry jelly sandwich or you actually can

  16. Made the drive up yesterday which was pretty spicy the last hour or so due to snow. They reported 9 inches in the last 24 hours and it was much needed. The mountain skied great with the natural snow groomed in and we even found a little bit of fresh powder. Thin cover in a lot of places but that was to be expected. I don’t know the mountain all that well, but we really cruised all over. Found out that our ikon passes worked in the fast track line too which was huge. Saved us hours of lift lines on a busy day. We skied right on every lift like a bunch of little bitches while everyone else was waiting in huge lift lines. It was great. Tomorrow I think we’ll ski Stratton.
